He would if the money is right and no Prem team comes in for him. I think it would take quite a hefty sum to tempt them to sell.

Some weird news report earlier said he wants rid of Paddy Kenny too. Because he was born on the 17th May and Cellino believes it's his unlucky number. This guy makes Vincent Tan appear normal.

Vincent Tan is reasonably normal, for an asian billionaire. Cellino makes Uri Geller look sane though.

He probably wants rid of Kenny because he turned up for preseason built like a sumo wrestler.

Utterly ridiculous. Championship club pays £11m for a Championship striker? Surely Jamaal must be worth about £15m by that reckoning?!

Saw Ruud Gullit talking about the silly transfer fees in England the other day - claiming Lallana would only cost £5-6m in France or Holland. He's not wrong!

£11m for a good championship striker. One who isn't even that young. I really don't see him stepping up particularly either. If he had just had the season he has and was 19 I could understand it. Mad mad money.

You're quite right. He probably peaked last season, and won't reach those stats again in his career. Good piece of business for Leeds, I suppose.

It is a lot of money, but if he turns out to be the new Ricky Lambert it could party off.

It certainly won;t have done Lascelles value any harm :)

It's going to f*** up every other transfer really. Wouldn't say that Jamaal is worth £15m though but let's create that illusion.

£11m. Holy shit. This is up there with the 35m Carroll disaster

Javier Hernandez cost £6m a few years ago

It's crazy money for any Championship player, but I can't see it influencing other transfers, unless it's Fulham doing the buying, because surely no-one else is going to be that stupid? Does show that if you hold out for a bigger fee, sometimes a fool comes along.....

I know goalscorers attract the biggest fees usually, but it's a helluva gamble for a player with one great season as a goalscorer. Let's hope it's money badly spent.

Fulham have circa £60m in parachute money so essentially it's chump change to them, if it gets them back to the Premier League.

It does - yet again - point out the ridiculous situation of the financial advantage relegated clubs have over everyone else.

In context, £11m is two-thirds of our average turnover for a season.

Its outrageous that they can spend that much on one player at this level.

He has been a consistent goalscorer in this league for a number of years.

£11 million is a pathetic amount to pay for a player though in this league.

He is very hot and cold, usually seems to do well every other season! We will have to see which way he blows. He's arguably approaching his prime so perhaps he can string it together, a lot of pressure though.

He was very good last season though, I remember at the City Ground he got one sniff, we made one slip up defensively and he tucked it away, nearly got them a point, they'd have been screwed last season without him.

I was thinking that too. Hernandez cost £6, and that was Manchester United buying, where as Fulham are expected to cough up £11m for Ross McCormack!
I really hope that doesn't set the tone for the rest of the Championship to start overpricing players so we lose out on top transfer targets.

Makes fryatt on a free look decent value.

If I was Fulham I'd have taken a couple of gambles. They could have probably got grabban, Callum Wilson and Henri Lansbury for around the same money.

thats 60 million spread over 4 ( i think ) years though and when you take his contract, agent fees, signing fees etc into it, its probably more like at least 15 million, which must be most of what they get this year ( iirc, its not spread evenly, they get more in the first year and it decreases every year )
