Don't let anyone ever tell you that we could have avoided any of these signings. They simply HAD to happen in order for us to sign good players (like Carvlaho), honest.

Murphy obviously saw him as a potential Championship player and he should probably be judged on that basis. Similarly another Dane signing who wasn't quite up to it, Ojeda.

Roughly half of these we turned a profit on.

Better none of those come here, the manager has an easier squad to manage, and we break even, than they all come here, the manager has a more difficult job, and we still break even or just make a few quid.
And "profit" is usually just the transfer fees. Throw in agent fees and wages, and that profit is far less anyway.

Fair point, but as others have already argued, "Just don't make the bad signings," isn't really a viable strategy without hindsight 20-20.

It was a signing who played about 4 times for us so wasn't Dane because he only signed good players.

Back at his old stomping grounds. He should do well there. He's an impact player in MLS, average Champo player in England. The interesting thing with TFC will be how John Herdman fares now that he is coaching a club men's side. I don't rate Herdman, so I don't expect TFC to do that well. If he can get something out of the two sleep walking Italians, it would be a good start.
