Morpeth
John Robertson
At the beginning of the season i really liked him when others were slating him. At the end of the season it was the other way round where others were praising him more than me.
He's been a really good player for us and quite balanced in terms of defensive solidity and attacking intent but what i didn't see was a powerful or particularly pacey player who caused mayhem. That's Aurier; it could even be Williams and it could be that Richards has both.
Whilst I'm sure we wanted him back, as did I, it could be a blessing in disguise as the last thing we would have wanted was for Lodi to end up second choice on a long contract along with Richards.
I'm slightly disappointed and happy in equal measures.
