Forest have a really tall order because they cannot afford any more slip ups.

On paper Bournmouth look to be in with a great shout of winning the title 3-1 at the bookies looks tempting.

10 games is 30pts that'll put us potentially on 83pts. Which is more than enough for the playoffs.

We can probably afford to drop 6pts in the next 10 games. So win 8 basically.

If we get 76pts and still dont make top 6, well.... thats just very unlucky.

Derby will play Millwall and Blackpool once they've already officially been relegated.

Two wins from the next four and they're up. But that's a tough next four.

Very tough ask. Though Freedman hit the nail on the head when he said if somebody slumps in form, we need to be ready to take their place.

Win all the home games, don't lose the away games and pick up one or two away from home, who knows. I don't expect us to do it, but stranger things have happened.

Derby have 4 key games coming up realistically we could be within a few points of them if they keep current form up, Brentford have the easiest run in, Boro have a difficult test too.

Don't worry about Derby. We needn't worry about anyone. Trying to predict who will win in this league is folly.

Derby could conceivably beat Norwich and Borough, then lose to Millwall and Blackpool.

If we keep plugging away then teams will lose games. Any one of the top six could slip, it's a crazy league.

Let's just best Leeds and other teams will sort themselves out.

There are 7 winnable games there, and we need to overcome losing the other 3 ( don't ask me which ones). I think given everyone plays everyone else, 74 points would be enough to sneak 6th.

At least it keeps it interesting.

We have many potential banana skins in there: leeds , watford, norwich, wolves, blackburn, ipswich, brentford.

So 7 of the 10 are very tough. And we cant take for granted roger'em and huddersfield. Although youd think that if we stand any chance of going up we have to win our home games.

We're not getting into the playoffs. Happy with the little flirt we're having, but it'll be no more than that.

As long as forest make a fist of it and treat every match until the end of the season like a cup final , then no one here can really complain.

It's interesting, how many points involve teams at the top playing each other. If you assume that no-one below us has any chance of getting into the playoffs, then these points are available to each of the teams (or these are potential point losses to each of the teams):-
Bournemouth 6
Derby 15
Watford 12
Middlesboro 18
Norwich 9
Brentford 6
Ipswich 15
Wolves 12
Forest 15

Middlesboro must be a bit worried about the chances of automatics, I would have thought.

Norwich and Bournemouth has easier run ins for sure. Would imagine those two having a great shout at top two.

Amazing really that Forest have taken 22 points from 11 matches against the current top 8 teams this season thus far, only losing to Brentford!

Leaving just 31 points taken from 25 games against the teams 10th or lower.

So more worried about Forest dropping points against the likes of Leeds & Rotherham than the promotion contenders...

In contrast Watford have only taken 8 points from the top teams, with their only wins coming against Brentford.

Direby 88
Watford 87
Boro 86
B'mouth 84
Brentford 83
Norwich 81
Forest 81
Ipswich 78
Wolves 73

Our goal difference will keep us out of the final playoff spot
