As Dan points out with evidence above, Chris has a MO which, rightly-or-wrongly, depending on your own point-of-view, he has absolute belief in.
My own view is that it conflicts with the preferred style-of-play of the CEO.
Spot on.I think that Murphy needs to give Hughton enough rope to hang him self, by providing the players to enable a more adventurous playing style.
If Hughton still stays with his dour and ultra defensive set up - then he can open the trap door

I would imagine the preferred style of operation of the CEO also conflicts with that of CH,i.e-construct a
suitable squad BEFORE the season starts and be properly ready for the first league match.
You’re so right - now where is that magic money tree?
Been told that the deal for this lad broke-down at a very late stage in proceedings, at the American end. Almost at the point where "Reggie had his bags packed" according to my source.
“But it was a very difficult season. A transfer fell through in the summer, transfers fell through in January. It's just what it is. I just have to keep going and I know my time will come, but I just got to be patient and keep working hard. And that's what I’ve been doing.”
“I can't even imagine, at this point, how many transfers that have fallen through at the last second. And it's so stressful, it's so frustrating,” he said. “But I just know that this is where I'm meant to be right now. And that's where I've got to deal with it. I've learned a new position this year. I've learned how to play at the top of my game consistently this year.”
“So I'm looking at the positives but again, whatever happens happens, and I hope this summer is the summer, because I've seen a lot of promising opportunities pop up. So let's just hope everything works out.”
Rock on...More chance of Tommy Cannon.
Bit of an understatementIt's a shame Alan Ball is retired...
Folarin BalogunAmerican soccerball players?
How many are actually decent enough for the Prem?
Horvath isn't.
Laryea isn't.
The 2 lads at Leeds aren't (despite us being linked with them).
The fulham centreback is an absolute liabitlity.
I watched his highlights from last season and he definitely looked better than I remember but seriously, he’s not that good.Folarin Balogun
I agree, but at the price he really isn’t that unrealistic and overpriced a target. Teams from most leagues in Europe seem keen so there is that. Both Milan teams for example. Too good for Forest ?I watched his highlights from last season and he definitely looked better than I remember but seriously, he’s not that good.
I think that’s where I am on him. I know f*** all about tactics and how players might fit with certain styles but I can see whether someone can play the game pretty well. Hopefully I’m just slightly off on this one (although odds are we’re not in for him anyway!).I agree, but at the price he really isn’t that unrealistic and overpriced a target. WHam are trying to unload the lad they wasted 30mil on recently. That’s just the nature of the PL.
You wouldn’t get Saka for £125m right now.
Big boys league, big boys money, got to buy into that game now.
We have hit Gold with MGW and Danilo. They’d will have cost us £60m plus before we’re done. Both had risk associated.
