Ram raid

Now our friends up the road have perished I think we can do a lot worse than look at some of their loanees

Thorne is a different class in this division. I'd throw a couple of mill at West Brom and see what happens. Bamford on loans might be a shout as well now Billy has gone, though unlikely.

Also, if we sell Lansbury then use that money on Bryson. He is a serious player and they wouldn't turn down 5m

They've had their season in the sun. They lose half their squad back to their parent club, the Albino is off and Bryson will probably follow.

It's all about mid-table...
I'll tell you which one I wouldn't be surprised to go soon is McClown, if he gets any sort of offer from the league above he'll be off like a shot citing "it was too good an offer to turn down" and "Unfinished business in the Premier League", he'd ditch the Sheep like a used sheath.

He'll have turned a few of the heads of gullible owners who are stupid enough to employ him. Nigel did all the groundwork at Derby make no mistake about that.

If he does stay at Derby I just hope he dismantles the team and builds "his own". That would be perfect.

I don't think he'll be there by the end of next season. Also, a few Derby fans I know agree that he was helped by not having the summer transfer window to sign any players in. Perhaps he'll find that he can't get players on the cheap and resorts to a few Derbyshire/ Miller signings (wouldn't surprise me if it was either of those actually)

Jeez just the thought of those two Wally the Brolly signings, makes me hope that in some form of mistaken enthusiasm, the sheep take the lock off the cheque book for him.

He'd be alright in the Prem, with the right team. Perhaps West Brom will take a punt

Bang on.

He's not gonna inherit a team who's graft, workrate and fitness is top notch next season. He's clearly learned from his mistakes with us, but far more chance of them doing average and him jumping ship next season than pushing them on.

Thorne is a good player. I'm not sure WBA would be interested in selling though.

Buxton is out of contract...

I can't believe how many people are still saying that MacClaren is a poor manager. What does that say about the managers who finished 4th and below? The fact is (much as I hate to say it) that Derby finished 3rd and deserved it. Where Nige often had good starts, then tapered off every season, finishing mid table, SMC managed to keep it going all season. Having now spent almost a whole season in the league now, he might have a better clue as to transfer targets. I won't be writing them off next season.

As to him jumping ship at Derby, I'm not so sure. He has history with them, and probably wouldn't have a coaching career if it wasn't for Jim Smith at Derby.

The Albino is an interesting one. For about half the games he played in this season, he was subbed off. I wonder if these so called £10-15m bids will be drastically affected by this?

As to the players talked about, I would certainly consider taking Chris Martin, Thorne, Bryson from them, but not if there are large fees involved.

Where's me hammer?
I would consider not going if we brought Chris martin off them, there's playing the game then there's what he does, for a big lad he goes down far to easy.

I'd have thought Thorne would be part of West Brom's squad next season but with them already signing Craig Gardner central midfield seems to be the one area where they have any kind of depth.

Thorne and Bryson would be great additions.

Chris Martin as well scores goals and is very good at holding the ball up

How have they perished?

They do not have the HMRC demanding the tax owed for 2 years to be paid, they do not have almost weekly winding up orders issued, they manage to pay their players on time. Yeah they are really sufferering.

You really think we could loan Bamford, I think Chelski might tell us to fook off as we paid late last time. Bryson leaves them for £5m, doubt it the team is built around him. I doubt WBA will sell Thorne, and if they do he only wants to go to one place.

You have got no clue. 1 loanee was always present, Wisdom. 1 had to wait to get in Thorne, 1 was used as impact Bamford, 1 was used then injured Whitbread. Not half a squad, unless you are playing five a side. Engage your brain before spouting drival. We have to sort our shit out as at this moment we are seen as a financial liability, not a reliable progressive football club. Unfortunatly that lot down the road are...

Wouldn't have any of them except Bryson and Thorne.

Derbyshire may have cost loads - but why criticise our top scorer?

No one is criticising Jamie Paterson, who was our top scorer?
