He's not available though. They were looking at Christian Atsu, a winger at Porto, but that fell through. Now they're not interested in loaning him out, to anyone.

Rodgers clearly prefers Coutinho & Borini as attacking options over Sterling not forgetting they've just signed Alberto from Sevilla who also plays attacking mid/wing.

He is available, just like he was available in the loan window towards the end of last season until Borini dislocated his shoulder and didn't return till late April.

To be fair, Alex Inglethorpe might well have told one of his golf buddies Forest had made an offer. It might well be true. We could make an offer for Messi if we wanted. There's definitely been some offers for him, hence Rodgers feeling the need to say he's not going out on loan.

I went to a BBQ on Sunday at a friend of a friends house, anyway Raheem Sterlings brother was there. We got chatting and he said there was a meeting on mondy concerning forest. he text my mate this morning and there is a loan deal agreed with forest if we aren't successful getting a perm striker in before the window shuts. Season long loan with an immediate call back option in case they need him.

Again you won't believe me but this is 100%, unless we get a striker in.
