Rafik Djebbour

Forest-DK

First Team Squad
Looks like he's playing the big boys this season then. APOEL have got Barca, PSG and Ajax!!
He hardly featured for them in the playoff round against Danish champions Aalborg, so he's probably fallen out with the manager and the rest of the squad.

In a few months time he'll be playing for some lower league Russian club together with Abdoun... ;-)

Former Nottingham Forest striker Rafik Djebbour celebrated title success in Cyprus by brandishing a machine gun.

The Algerian helped APOEL Nicosia win the Cypriot top flight on the last day of the season this weekend, scoring twice as they beat Ermis Aradippou, 4-2.

The club had already won the Cypriot Cup last week.

And Djebbour was pictured celebrating with a gun. The pictures were tweeted by Moha Abdelkebir and a French football site.

17 in 38 for this lot. Another in a long list of strikers to take a break from scoring goals at Forest.

How much of a chance did we really give him and the other one? They were hounded whether they were that disruptive or not we can only go on speculation to an extent but the fact is they were never really given a chance.

It drove me crazy when Davies kept giving this guy 10 mins off the bench. Hardly had any time - you wonder why strikers always fail here. Djebbour would have scored goals if you gave him games. He would have got chances due to his movement alone.

His movement was great. I remember in his first game (when he got his goal..off his arse), he kept making these runs but nobody would give him the ball. At one point Halford chose to twat it into the trent end rather play a simple ball to put him through.

All I want is that from now on..we sign grown ups.

Yeah, the runs he made were different to anything I'd seen before. To be honest it seemed like the rest of the team weren't on the same wavelength. If only Reidy had been fit

I actually think Reidy was the King of the "I ain't passing you the ball" Brigade, when he did play.

Can't believe I'm reading stuff like this.

Simon Cox gets widely slated on here and rightly so and was far better off the ball than Djebbour was. Not to mention Djebbour was either very unfit or very lazy and had a first touch which led him to lose the ball often.

Clearly wasn't a player Davies wanted and was coming into the side which was lacking confidence, but he was utterly, utterly garbage in the game time he got here. It's beggars belief people wanted to see more of him. Abdoun actually had some quality about him when he could be arsed but Djebbour had nothing.

Not bothered he scored a few goals in Cyprus. Pretty sure a few of us could do that. All the teams in the Championship are of higher quality than all but one, maybe two, of the Cypriot teams.

Believe it sonny jim. His shot was a bit weak but the runs were good.

Totally agree with the comments about players not passing to Djebbour. It was so obvious. In fact Reid was the main culprit. Abdoun and Djebbour 'split' the dressing room but only because the other players were childish.

In fact, whilst I'm at it (and apologies if this has been raised) but are Forest fans a bit racist? My mate hates Abdoun, Djebbour and Fawaz and did from minute one. Are we broken?
