Looks familiar. Which season wasn't like that?

Having watched the interview with Aitor on IFollow, I am getting a rather unpleasant feeling that expectations for the coming season are getting a bit too pumped for my liking.
There does seem to be rather too much in the way of expectation... >18,000 season tickets sold (including 1 each for me and the Mrs!), but as at this morning the squad is rather weaker than it was for the last few games of last season.
Pantieman - gone; Tomlin - gone; Colback - gone; Dowell - gone; Cohen - retired; and the only incoming seems to be Grant, Ryan, Walker, Clough and Ward (all of which will probably not figure too much in the new season in the Garibaldi.
6 teams have parachute monies to splurge on players.
It all is getting a bit too over-heated for my liking.
I would prefer it if we were being sweet-talked into expecting more modest aims than promotion next season.
The message to everyone should be "We are targeting mid-table mediocrity"... we need to get used to that before we go balls-out with "It's gonna be our year for promotioon".
Too good for Nottingham Forest!

(Please have your irony-checkers switched to high-alert).
