He was actually a decent squad player because he can play in pretty much every position. Actually I thought Greg was a better target man than the specialist target man we had in the side when he was playing up front (Henderson) and if he actually was given the opportunity to play there regularly would have done a decent job.
Abdoun was a peenface because he didn't give a shit about the club and there was the shit about that penalty against West Ham as well.
Let's face it if we had Halford in the side now we'd be playing him in CB alongside the fox and because of his height we wouldn't let in every cross and set piece. And if we wanted he could play up front as back up for Murphy. I'd sign him up
When Davies (Alf flare) was playing him all over I think a fair amount of opposition managers didn't like seeing his name on the teamsheet because they didn't know exactly where he would be playing.
