Re: Oliver Burke?

Bit harsh on the youngster, give him a year or two more of football at NFFC, at the very least; before then going on to flog him!

Flog

verb

gerund or present participle: flogging

to beat (someone) with a whip or stick as a punishment.

"the men had been flogged and branded on the forehead"

synonyms: whip, scourge, flagellate, lash, birch, switch, tan, strap, belt, cane, thrash, beat, leather, tan/whip someone's hide, give someone a hiding, beat the living daylights out of....

"the Romans used to flog their victims"

Well, that's certainly not the thread I intended to post in, but at least it's about the correct player.

Re: Oliver Burke?

Half of decade of loan appearances await. Congratulations he's made it.

Should we be thinking about becoming the first club to disband the first team? Get in early on something for once. It serves no real purpose. It is not like anybody really likes it any more either.

To be fair they want him for their U21s. He'd get a chance at Villa, unlike somewhere like Chelsea.

Only if he breaks in to the first team in the next six months before Sherwood is sacked.

Can't see Dougie giving any of our youngsters a chance, Osborne, Pato, Burke, Grant all might aswell move on. Another Forest manager who talks the talk but fails to deliver. Ward sounds like a good signing but if he was thinking of giving Burke or Pato a go he wouldn't have signed him.. I find it funny we've strengthen in our two strongest positions, we didn't need a right sided attacking player or a centre back.. Beggers belief really, feel so sorry for the chaps..

Very defeatist. The youngsters will get games. He's done it at Bolton and Crystal Palace. He's already played some of these youngsters and will have to because of the size of the squad. But he can only play when they are somewhere near ready. If he played them when they aren't ready it could ruin them and have a detrimental affect on results meaning the fans and Fawaz will be after him.

Give the man a break.

Just how I see it, missed out walker as well! Didn't play Osborne that much at the end of last year, hasn't given walker any time at all.. Unfortunately I just can't see it..
