The biggest talking point on this thread is whether Cap'n will eat a fishcake or not? Has Forest's situation really got that bad? 😬

Vlach in for Matt.

Taiwo up top.

Yates simply has to start if we're to have a chance of 3 points.

My early season optimism is draining slightly but if we can create an atmosphere closer to last seasons, this one could get our season up & running again..

Clutching at straws perhaps but Villa have only scored 6 goals in 5 away games, 3 of which came at Burnley. They are unstoppable at home at the moment for sure but at the City Ground if Forest put in a team performance ala Liverpool, Arsenal of last season, maybe another Awoniyi 1-0.

Head says lucky to get a draw though.

Taiwo’s fitness is the key to us getting anything out of this game.
He didn’t look his usual fit and mobile self when he came on on Sunday to me. He’s got 5 days to get himself ready.
Think it's unlikely we'll see Taiwo start, Cooper said he shouldn't have even got the minutes he did on Sunday.

Ryan Yates started out as striker when he first joined the academy. Maybe we should stick him up top...
Couldn't finish his dinner though. He might cause a few problems by being a nuisance but that's it.

Personally if we have no Awoniyi I'd have to say we should be going false 9 with MGW up front.

It was a tongue-in-cheek suggestion. Although the false nine really hampered us against Liverpool.
If we needed a striker that could finish their dinner, we should have gone for Waghorn .

If MGW is out (I think he might be), he's also the midfielder who played highest preseason. Cometh the hour...

(I hope we don't need to because we have enough fit, but if not he'd be my pick for disruption and playing off, as said on another thread yesterday)

Was MGW injured vs Liverpool?

If him and Awoniyi can start, arguably Forest can field their first choice XI.

3 of the next 4 being at home, we should be getting clues as to where this season might be heading.

Hopefully 5 points min, couple of wins would be even better.

We might have an even better idea by the end of the year-with 6 of the next 10 games at home.

Tbf, that usually worked well enough for Greg Halford. Different level though.

If Awoniyi isn't 100%, I wouldn't risk any further injury for this match and will be getting all the midfielders and Elanga plenty of shooting practice on full size goals rather than passing the ball into those indoor ones that they keep showing in the training videos.
