Thanks, Rocka. Hope you see us to Europe, pal 😁

Nottingham's dirty secret
To expand a little my theory that MGW isn't shit at whipping the ball in seems to be backed up the athletic's analysis which, if you're that way inclined - it's a bit boring - can be found in the thread about him.
Yes I read that.

MGW has all the right ingredients but I still think it's time to try a change.

Moussa's long throws haven't looked close to getting us a goal this year either, not sure why.

Expecting a similar opposition to Villa, therefore hope we take the same approach and come away with the same result.

I'm guessing his shoulder needs looking after a bit more after his summer injury. The few throw ins I have seen of his haven't had the same fizz or distance to them that they had last season.

I'm quite glad to be honest. For me a long-throw into the box is a desperate last resort tactic, not a genuine way of playing. You end up too one-dimensional and Stoke struggled to get rid of the long-ball, thuggish tag for years.

I don't think his throws last year had much 'fizz' - they had an odd high looping trajectory that for whatever reason was hard to deal with. The trajectory looks similar this year to me. Someone mentioned it was Felipe who was typically flicking them on, so maybe that's what we're missing.

Brighton have been hit and miss this year. They'll come to the CG as favourites but on paper this is an easier game than Villa.

Nice Forest win to take us to 6 points for the month which will do nicely for me in the prediction league.

Moussas throws weren't the main problem to be fair.
I've lost count how many times we have lost 3 headers on the bounce and then conceded a goal.
The long throw has not been maximised by us because we can't seem to win headers especially in the box

Brighton have got some injury and suspension issues which is good for us. Some key players missing including;

Mitoma
Dunk
Evan Ferguson
Estupinan
Solly March
Dahoud
Every post I read convinces me even more we are on to a hiding to nothing:
Opponents on a long winless run;
Opponents have had to sell their best players to balance the books;
Opponents have a longer, more serious injury/suspension list than we do.
All we need now is for the club to announce it's "Kids for a Quid"...
Doomed, doomed, we're doomed.

Yeah, Felipe won basically every single flick on which made them so dangerous.

Honestly, the long throwin thing isn't really worth taking a guy out of position for unless we are looking for a desperate goal. If we are going to take him out of position, I'd rather see Moussa in the box than taking a long throwin---the guy is 6'3".

Last season Danilo got his first Forest goal in this fixture. Sangare to do the same this season?

Problem is they know Moussa is going to take the long throw. So their set piece defending coach sets them up to repel attackers. Job done.

We could do with getting one of them and a throw in coach and a set piece taking coach.
