Now then yer boggers, now that we've all got over the heartache and disappointment of the West Ham defeat outta our heads... It's Brighton up next.

Brighton were the boggers that sold us that wonderful player (a Derby fan) called Peter Ward.
I myself like many other supporters that have a long memory, have a bit of a chip on shoulders, because back in 1979 (despite being dogshite) Brighton ended our long undefeated home record.

Anyhow, back to the present. After yet another boring International break, Forest will be back in action at the World Famous City Ground.

Can Forest bounce back and give those Seagulls a good fisting?
OR... Will those Seagulls shite on us from a great height?

A win for Forest will lift Super Cooper's Mighty Reds further away from the relegation zone after the setback at the soulless plastic Lego Stadium.

Will our intrepid leader have the players practise defending corners and free kicks?

Your thoughts on this game?

Any folk with negative comments can go and boil their heads, then go and join Wolverine and his band of negative p***ks. 😁

1 WTF is "Dark mode" please?
2 I am very interested in this game, after all it is a collector's item: a 3:00 p.m. Saturday kick-off. They are rarer than hen' teeth and rocking horse shit these days.
3 We "did 'em 3-1 last season on our spectacular run in, and to be fair we could jolly well do with a similar scoreline in our favour this time.
4 I shall be producing a Match Report giving my take on the game from the Lower Brian Clough stand - printed, signed, colour copies will available to buy quicker than the old Football Post was on the streets back in the day
5 Team I would like to see start, with no Murillo or Danilo because I think their injuries are near terminal:
-----------------------------Odysseus--------------------------------------
Aina---------------Boly-------------------Niakihate----------------Toffolo
-------------Sangare---------Mangala------------------Dominguez------
-------------------------------------Gibbs-White--------------------------
--------------------Elanga---------------------------Awoniyi--------------

(I don't like to see MGW on the right wing!).

Result and score prediction: Defeat for Forest, with a score line of 1-2.

Brighton are there for the taking as they have not won in their last 5, this is a huge chance to get 3 points, I just wish it was this weekend.

I'm expecting a win for forest.
Mgw to leave corners to someone else or take short corners.
If brighton couldn't beat us last season they should have no chance against this team.
I remember the 1-1 draw last season was when I thought we had a chance of staying up because before that it was looking bad for us.
We have improved while brighton seem to be stalled or going backwards.
3 points in the bag

At the bottom of the website (on each page) you will see „Style Chooser“ - select that, and you have a choice of „LTLF“ themes, including „Light“ and „Dark“ - the „Dark“ theme sets the background to black and uses white text, to make it easier on the eyes.

I think it was 0-0 away at Brighton last season.

When Lodi got that lucky deflection at home against these just before half time was when I thought we had a chance of staying up.

I think Murillo will not be available, as his hamstring looked very painful, and rushing a young player back is very risky (Spurs rested Johnson for 3 weeks with a mild hamstring strain).
I would love to see CHO start, but I think SC will probably have him on the bench to give him a phased return to work.
I actually think Aina at right back is a better player than Serge, and that leaves Toffolo to continue a run of games, and Toffo is playing really well.

I have regular injections in my eye and on the day of the jab, bright light is a bit of a pain. The dark choice seems worth a try on those days. Thanks.

You’re welcome VP.

I use „Dark mode“ on all my devices and as many websites as possible, all the time; I also have some issues with my eyes caused by damage to them which makes me extremely light-sensitive, so darker screens are much more comfortable for me.

Plus I get to wear sunglasses a lot, so I look really cool.

Reduced to watching on NowTV these days if the game's on Sky (covid came along, my mate regularly visits his 94 year old mum so wasn't keen on the risk of going to games, then Forest went and got promoted and all the season tickets were snapped up).

It's my mate's birthday around now so I had an idea. Checked prices for the Legends Lounge, gulped but reasoned that I can afford it and we're both in our seventies so who knows how much longer we'll be around. Checked that he was interested and got tickets.

He said he'll return the favour in February when I notch up another year. So Part 1 is Brighton.

If we'd beaten West Ham it would all feel really positive, but as it is we have the two home games to make up. If we can win them we'll definitely be midtable. Now we have some strikers fit again all things are possible.

Whatever, it'll be good to visit the WFCG again.

Enjoy the live games, matey.

Cheers - in my head I'm still much younger, but even that's moved on to 25 rather than 18.

The trouble with getting older is that some days you feel at least 100...
I do stuf my 25 year old self would have cringed at.
And yes - I often feel at least 100.

Sod’s Law it looks like their injury list will clear over the break - 5 starters missing v Sheff Utd will be at least back in training.
Should make it a more even game …

It's interesting - I have light sensitivity issues as well, but actually a dark mode tends to make this worse, as you're focussing the opposite way to paper.

So actually, I usually prefer /not/ to have a dark mode and then just to turn the contrast/brightness down to a manageable level. It just feels more natural not having to focus for bright text on a dark background (like a chalk board I suppose).

Guess it is a good thing a lot of sites allow a choice these days as opposed to forcing one design on everyone. Though it annoys me that even though the Plex HTPC app allows selection of modes the standard desktop app and Web UI do not (and the latter is where one ends up doing most library management and stuff). It's annoying really
