You would have missed the brilliance of my line by line analysis.
Worse, the time you spent reading might have been used for less socially acceptable reasons like mainlining on the streets of the Gorbals, or glue-sniffing under the Kincardine bridge (not the wet bit, naturally).

Would rather sniff glue by choice than drink your shitty water with forever chemicals in them.

Origi as Wood apparently hurt his knee against Everton
He was on the exercise bike yesterday, so I'm assuming he's fine.

It won't be completely brilliant as I'll be in the wrong side of the Putney End, having to keep my mouth shut.

I'm going with a Wednesday supporting friend, who will give me an honest, neutral, view on proceedings.
Take care: I had a similar experience back in the 90's when I was taken to Hillsborough to witness the 7-1 destruction of the Owls, sat on my hands in the middle of the Wednesday fans.

This is going to sound quite negative on my part - but I think we might have over-rated the new players. They have yet to prove they are any better than the players whose places they have taken.
That might be down to settling in or any other number of excuses, but if we're going to progress they need to prove themselves much quicker than they have so far. Over to them.
Think its hard to judge as they've not had that much time together having said that the mf 3 of Sangare, Mangala and Dom have been consistently picked during this run. What's slightly concerning is everyone was saying that we were playing pretty well at the start of the season pre transfer window signings so it looks like if anything they've taken the wind out of our sails even though it was pretty much universally agreed that we had a great window. Personally i think its down to how they've been introduced into the team, we seem to have lost the "team ethos" that we had earlier this season and the end of last. Think we'll see this come good in the new year..

It is hard to judge isn't it. Going through the areas of the pitch:

Goalkeeper - Vlachodimos and Turner probably a slight drop off from Henderson and Hennessey then Navas and Hennessey, though I would argue not as steep as some suggest, because last year's keepers also had weaknesses.

Defence - Probably missing Lodi a bit, but Aina and Murillo in particular are excellent additions imo. We have better depth across defence with the possible slight exception of left back.

Midfield - is Mangala/Sangare/Dominguez better than what we finished with last season, Mangala/Yates/Danilo? I think it's better at ball retention and progressing through the thirds, but possibly misses the pace and goalscoring of Danilo, and the never-say-die attitude of Yates. But in any case we still have Yates and Danilo, so the midfield inarguably has greater depth. This may pay off over the course of December with all the fixtures.

Attack - this is the hardest to judge for me. We're obviously missing Johnson (and MGW in particular seems to be) - but then Brennan only really played a bit part in the good run at the end of the season. Elanga looks like a fairly decent replacement (and certainly in terms of balancing the books), CHO I'm really not sure on yet, need to see more. I'd rather have Dennis or Surridge on the bench than Origi. But ultimately both this season and last, we're a completely different side going forward when Awoniyi is not available, so that hasn't changed a huge amount. Actually this might be where the lack of Johnson is most telling, when Taiwo is not fit. Not surprising really.

Overall - I think we have a considerably better squad this season, and again that may prove very useful over the next few weeks. Is the starting 11 better? (Do we even know what that is?) Possibly not.

I was on the Kop at Hillsborough the day we sent them down, May 1990. It was a little amusing, Psycho was just awesome that day (and season). He was on a different level.

I was in the Home end for the famous FA Cup victory at the Etihad. My son and I were sat right behind Tyson for the 1st and it was pretty nailed on the ball was going in so we were up on our feet before the goal was given... we soon sat down again as a thousand eyes were cast upon us. We remained well contained for the next two goals.

Also was at Orient in the home end for a 3 nil victory. When the third went in, I got a tap on the shoulder and told to join in, must have been obvious although the moment had passed. Had a good booze up with them in the club bar afterwards too.

And there old scoreboard guy put the score card from another game the wrong way and they thought they had stayed up only for an announcement over the tannoy that it was a mistake 🤣

They advise you now not to ride round London on a motorbike because its likely you will get jacked by them lads on scooters and relived of it there saying its currently around a 70% chance of that happening its starting to become lawless there

Talking of Fulham, what's your guys opinion of London, would you ever live there?

I did, for four years, and I lived in Fulham too.

London isn’t for everyone, but it is definitely an experience. I loved it, but have subsequently moved back to Nottingham, as raising a family down there would be madness.

Also, I lived in the shitty end of Fulham, rather than the posh end where the football club is. Also lived in Wimbledon, Ealing and Wood Green. First two good, last one bad.

I lived in both Wandsworth and Balham about ten years ago and also grew up in St Albans as a child.

On balance, the accents are better than up here, it feels like you're more alive and in the heart of things, BUT I'd rather get first class train travel with overnight stays at the Langham with the extra cash you have from not living there. I can't help but laugh when you see people on Location, Location, Location buying a f***ing hovel for upwards of half a million quid.
