Holy Toledo! I chose that game as my only visit to the CG this season.

I got to see four goals! Three points! The three hour drive home in teeming rain could not damp my enthusiasm, just had to watch most of the game again.

But the nerve-shredding 90 minutes were just the reason we all love the game. What excitement, what drama and what joy all in one game.

I think it's all been said in this thread, but it really does make you believe that we can do it.

Nice one Richard.

First Team Squad
We have a loan player out for the season on crutches still going to matches to cheer the team on (Henderson) when he could just piss off back to Manchester and collect his pay cheque

Cooper made this squad in less than a year from a gigantic bunch of strangers, he's a f***ing man management genius.
It looked like cooper said to the boss look just get me gibbs white and anyone else.
I think he's been proved right apart from shelvey, wood and a couple of others

After the long build up it was nice to get it out of the way and well worth the drive. This team is really starting to deliver I can see it coming

Nice one, good ey!

Where do you live Vals?

Still absolutely buzzing. I think we're going to do it. I have never seen a Forest side be so ruthless and clinical on the counter, it was a joy to watch and the understanding between MGW, Brennan and Danilo is mouth-watering. As long as we learn from mistakes, I think we are very capable of getting something at the Bridge. All sides visiting the Bridge have to do is want it more than Chelsea to get something at the moment.

Despite conceding three I actually thought we defended pretty well too, the first goal was a result of turning the ball over cheaply in a dangerous position and leaving the back two in a turkey shoot. The second is poor from a marking point of view, but Navas has to do better for me. And the third was a gift from Michael Oliver and the VAR team to keep Sky's viewing figures up for the final few minutes, anyone who has played the game knows that is not a penalty in a month of Sundays.

My only criticism would be our ball retention when we were two up. Both of their goals to half the deficit originated from loose, dangerous passes in the middle third that were really needless. When you're two up and in control, you don't need to take risks or force the ball forward, just find a red shirt. I have no doubt Steve will have picked up on this, and I think given the amount of pressure on that game we can give them a pass on a few mistakes. Monday was all about doing everything necessary to get three points and I was so proud of the bottle and courage they showed, that's all we ask for. They also did not give a single foul away in a shooting position around our penalty box, which they deserve so much credit for. So many better teams than us have shown less discipline and been punished.

If we do go down we can accuse them of many things in the post-mortem, but not caring about this club or giving everything they have is not one of them.

Fair play to you,VP-you witnessed a thrilling game but the drive home must have been a nightmare.
I had a similar (but not quite as bad) hour long drive home in the pouring rain after the Wolves League Cup game-luckily I was staying overnight in Nottingham on Monday.
The things we do for Forest-but it’s worth it when they win!

The Premier League itself has enough pull these days, though I suppose you're right in that playing for a manager like Cooper might sway a player to one club over another. He very much strikes me as a 'modern players' manager.
If we stay up I honestly believe stuff like this will help us attract players. Who wouldn’t want to be part of what Stevie’s got going here.

Magic.

Is 'barely scraped survival, had 30 injuries and used 34 players over the season' a selling point?

I'm not sure we do.

I think Leicester's is harder than ours and Leeds is about the same.
Agreed.

Everton are playing some in form teams also:

Man City Away Record 10-3-3 / 5-1-0
Wolves Home Record 9-2-7 / 5-0-1
B.Mouth Away Record 5-2-10 / 4-0-2

Over the last six that’s 14 wins between their next three opponents!! With them all currently in way better form than their season overall.

Man City need the win / have won the last four away.
Wolves have won the last four at home.
Bournemouth have lost the last two.

Everton aren’t safe yet.

Based on opponents form / our form we’ve got the easiest run-in.

NOTE! Not taking into account our awful away form.
