We got robbed a little in that extra time. Spent at least 2 minutes doing their best to find something wrong with Taiwo's goal, then there was at least 2 somewhat lengthy stoppages from players going down, and the time wasted by Arsenal taking their time on set pieces, and it's still barely 2 extra minutes on top of the 5. Damn!
Think the most frustrating thing is the type of goals we conceded, they worked so hard and did so well. What a shame. Sometimes it feels like everyone is pilling on Turner, but he really shouldn't be beaten as his near post like that. Shocking!
It makes you think that the clock should just be stopped so no advantage can be gained from time wasting and bent refs

It’s a shame and you hate having to single out individuals but both keepers have cost us dearly this season and it’s just unsustainable

I don't like picking on individual players for minor mistakes but it's hard to take when the mistakes are so basic.
Without exaggerating I would expect a schoolboy goalkeeper to cover his near post.
I've had enough of turner and there must be a better option out there.

Disgraceful officials again, they never looked at the foul on Neco before Arse scored.
Good, backs-to-the-wall, performance let down by predictable errors.
The only reasons we go down this season are if we don't get a new keeper and get points deducted.
Was it a foul? Genuine question. Players didn’t seem to protest much after the goal.

Such a shame - Turner was fine apart from that moment, made a good reflex save and caught many corners. Montiel was fine too, headed away many corners at the near post.

Given that Arsenal scored two from corners in their last game, that shows how comfortable we were at the back, most of the time.

Apart from that team down the A52, Arsenal have always been the team I hate the most. Living in london for ten years and listening to their Irish fan contingent waxing lyrical at work about the team of arrogant tossers led by the cheating Scot made my hackles rise.
Handbags at dawn situations did occour, I am ashamed to disclose.

Sort of optimistic but am not really in a weird way. We for sure get something tonight with a decent keeper and we actually wouldn't be far off mid-table standard in general imo. But Turner/Vlach are so bad that we go down 100% regardless of point deductions if we don't recruit so it's a big 24/48 hours for sure.
This is where I am.

Even with FFP, optimistic if we get a decent goalkeeper in.

If not, then I sense a huge struggle which I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for.

Unfortunately that's turner through and through.

Lost to one of the top teams whilst we’re not at full strength 2-1. Outplayed really but ok scoreline well deserved win for Arse. I’m not going to blame Matt Turner on that goal… actually it was f***ing shit defending in the first place lol. Murillo by far man of the match, absolute beast of a player, we will be very fortunate to keep him, he’ll be off to lance Armstrong aka city.

We’re a bit f**ked now but there’s some hope in that Awoniyi scored, immediately shows his strength… MGW his engine is superb along with Dominguez.

They’re better than this, why do they show so much respect to Arsenal? I get it.. they can pass… but ffs, they need to grow a pair.
It was poor defending that led to the goal but the keeper can't escape the blame for letting it in at his near post.

The goalkeeping issue we have isn't that someone is good for 95% of the game

The issue is they are dreadful for 5% of the game and concede goals

I remember Sir Brian saying about Peter Shilton what made him the best wasn't that he didn't have a shot to save for ninety minutes but that when he did he saved it
Let's also not forget that Turner was very well protected tonight for an hour or so too.

It doesn't take much for him to make a mistake.

Well I'm not
You're not sure that a player like Montiel that didn't play for the first half of the season, but has now played 7 games in 5 weeks against better teams in Bournemouth (10 men), Arsenal, Man Utd and Newcastle wouldn't have benefitted from a break like Arsenal have just had to recharge?

Nuno was even pissed off after the Blackpool f*** up messing the club's plans for a break.

This isn't about how hard you work 6 days a week in a manual labour job, the bench mark here is the opposition's fitness and ours was way below the norm.

Great battling performance for 60 minutes then our goalkeeper gifts Arsenal a goal. You can have a great game plan but it means nothing if you do not have a competent goalkeeper.

Frustrating self inflicted errors yet again story of our campaign.

Taiwo is back, Niakhate is on his way and so is Kouyate, think Neco was good too, Murillo was immense, MGW looked one of the best players on the pitch and Omo to his credit was good too.

Not going to speak on the errors but its hard to expect us to not make a couple when effectively we played attack versus defence for 90% of the game. In a diplomatic way though its probably fair to see why specific new players are being targeted given Nunos visible displeasure at what he saw, he was still shaking his head 5 minutes after the event.

It could have been worse and the fact that Luton have pulled a shock out of the bag makes things look crap but we always knew that Afcon was going to be a tricky time.

Now for the yellow tie and prayers that we end this window stronger than we started it.

Not to mention only 5 mins stoppage time when you routinely get double that for a half with a few goals in.
