Has he dabbled with this false nine stuff in the past or does he always like a proper CF up front?

I think his preference at Wolves was to have a proper CF (usually Jimenez), but he did use Podence, Neto and Traore (all of whom we’d probably consider as wingers) as a front 3 when Jimenez fractured his skull.
He did have Fabio Silva (who I think was more of a traditional striker) who he also used, but mostly off the bench.

Would like to see Santos get some minutes, never know we might have had a player all along.

Be interested to see if that ship has already sailed as Chelsea were set to recall him next week. Might put some life back into the loan if Nuno can find a way to utilise him.

Yes if FFP constraints are likely to be an issue, we can't be throwing away players we already have who could be utilised.

I think that ship will have already sailed. 1 week isn’t going to make any difference to Chelsea’s decision, they’ll see it as a big risk to let him stay here even with the change of manager, plus the player is unlikely to put in a peak performance when lacking match sharpness, and possibly motivation after being kept out.
It would be better in my opinion to focus our efforts on players who will be here after the window re-opens.

I kind of agree, but if he turns out really good then what do we do with Sangare and Dominguez? Better to focus on getting more out of them considering they're our players.

I am looking forward to Saturday afternoon!
New era dawns and everyone selected to start will step up to the plate.
Nuno’s plan will restore Fortress Forest and we will see no avoidable goals conceded.
Elanga, now conversant with the offside rules will destroy Bournemouth.
Chris Wood will be devastating.
Odysseus will dominate his 6-yard box.
Solanke won’t get a sniff all game.

Please just not a heavy defeat. Draw is more than satisfactory for me whilst he gets used to the place. Not an easy task with the keeper & striker situation he's inherited.

Here's hoping his previous relationship with MGW & Boly may be able to pull a bit of a rabbit out of the hat until we can address our problem areas in the squad.
