My prediction is that Toney will do nothing all game, then VAR will give them a soft penalty, Toney will score it and Sky will wank themselves into oblivion over it.
We donāt have Peter Drury commentating do we? I can hear his annoying cringey preprepared soliloquy now:
ā8 months in the wilderness. 233 days in isolation. But like a bear awakening from slumber, Ivan Toney IS BACK. Brentfordās talisman, like a phoenix from the flames, rises to drag the bees into life. Inspirational, ruthless. REDEMPTION.ā

The suspension is Calendar-based IRTD, not based on rounds of matches. Why is Toney allowed to play against us when he wouldn't have been allowed to had we played last weekend and it's the same round of games? I seem to recall at some point in the last couple of years us buying a player and although his papers had gone through in time for the game on Monday, he wasn't allowed to play because they hadn't in time for the start of the round of games on the Friday/Saturday. It just seems inconsistent. It ought to be that he should be available to return for the round of games starting on or after the 17th or whatever date they specified.
We can still get a result anyway.
He's already backtracked on his comments last week about how much he owes Brentford - he's now 'open to a move'.When we beat this lot Saturday theyāll be in the cart proper, then letās see if Toney plays the loyalty game or not,
Could he push for a transfer in January?
We're signing him before Saturday, playing him against Brentford and Arsenal, then selling him to Arsenal before the end of the window. When we beat this lot Saturday theyāll be in the cart proper, then letās see if Toney plays the loyalty game or not,

What are the odds on that?Prediction: Toffolo and Toney get into it and both get sent off.
I bet Ivan Toney knows. What are the odds on that?
He doesn't own them - he just used them so often they names the company after him.Does he own Tonybet?
In League One it was three players. And Forest met that easily at times. It is absolute lunacy that we have to play on through January with 6 players missing on international duty, it would be 7 as well. Back in the league one days we often had games postponed on international weekends because we had a couple of NI players or an U-21 player. If we had 3 out it was postponed. Now we are missing double that from a squad of 25 putting strain on the squad. Potentially we have another 5 or 6 now injured. Thatās like half the squad. Made worse by it being such a key game.
Why not just play premier league games on all international weekends if it doesnāt matter?
Has the temerity to predict a point for Sheff U against West Ham too.Chris Smellton reckons 2-1 to the Office 365ers
Does he ever predict anything other than us losing?
Ill be streaming this game via Bet365I bet Ivan Toney knows.
Yeah that is what I mean, 3 was the rule but it included u-21 players. I can't even remember who was missing. Maybe Clingan for NI, some shit u-21 players. But 3 and you could postpone. Now we are losing 6, it would be 7 and it is out of a squad of 25.In League One it was three players. And Forest met that easily at times.
Clingan for NI, Junior Agogo, and Iām pretty sure Dexter Blackstock as well.Yeah that is what I mean, 3 was the rule but it included u-21 players. I can't even remember who was missing. Where is the limit? What if we had 12 players away in the AFCON, what if all 25 are away? Does it just not matter? At what point does it matter? It is just silly and could (and maybe has) led to injuries.
Morgan wasn't an international I don't think until he was at the bin dippers.Clingan for NI, Junior Agogo, and Iām pretty sure Dexter Blackstock as well.
Might also have been Westley Morgan for Jamaica as well.
On Morgan, Iām not sure youāre right; I recall being on a business trip on one of my (frequent) visits to the US when he was playing for Jamaica in some local competition or other (the Gold Cup maybe?) and he was deffo a Forest player at that time, because - as ever - Iād packed a Forest shirt and was wearing it in the bar where the coverage was being shown?Morgan wasn't an international I don't think until he was at the bin dippers.
We didn't sign Blackstock until TSM came then we got him on loan then permanent in the close season.
First two yeah, DB was later. There was at least one u-21 for a shit nation. Commons hadnāt played for Scotland at this point either.Clingan for NI, Junior Agogo, and Iām pretty sure Dexter Blackstock as well.

I realise that but what I'm saying is that it is basically wrong it should apply to the round of games in the same way that it is for new players. If the player isn't available for the date of the first match of the round of games, he shouldn't be available for any of the game dates for that round. It prevents the thought that the game could have been played the previous weekend but a club manages to get it put back a few days so they can benefit from the return of their player. It's just bad optics. The suspension is Calendar-based IRTD, not based on rounds of matches.
