After some sort of winter pause and a surprise FFP charge, league football will make its return on Saturday evening when Nuno's mighty reds visit the London District of Brentford.

The feature narrative for this match will no doubt be Ivan Toney's return from his 8 month ban for damaging the Integrity of the Game with his betting habits. Forest's FFP woes will come a close second.

The key footballing issue is this is a bottom of the table clash. While Brentford have a game in hand - against Man City - they are currently 1pt adrift of Forest. The Reds come into the game with 6pts from last 3 league games under the new manager while the Bees have not taken a point in 5 games; their last points coming at home against Luton at the beginning of December.

Both sides have been depleted by injury and have key players away for international tournaments. Brentford will welcome back the talismanic Toney with a hope he can return to his former glories.

Brentford maybe tired from their excertions at Wolves last night in the FA Cup replay, where the yam-yams ran out winners in extra time. Forest have their own FA Cup replay test as a trip to Blackpool will leave them with day less to recover and prepare. We will see if Forest can return emboldened and confident after an illuminating victory or exhausted and embarrassed if the league one seasiders can prevail.

So, dear poster. Its over to you. How will Nuno set-up for this contest with Tommy Franck? Where are the key battles? Will the mighty reds triumph at the G-tech Community Stadium?

Can't stand their manager. Hope we smash them for that reason alone.

Perfect scenario: Toney goes off injured in 1st half after Toff tackle, Turner doesn't put a foot wrong, CHO gets a hat trick in a 5-0 win for the famous team, Felipe puts Frank down with a belting headbutt but VAR can't prove it, and Ramsdale's signing is announced on the way home.

They lost in extra time in their replay last night, so hopefully they're running tired and it counterbalances the extra day's rest they get over us.

I'm concerned we will be taken to extra-time and penalties, and having a day less to recover we might find ourselves more tired than them.

Not to mention the overnight flight back home!
True, this is Forest after all, they’d probably plan the flight from Blackpool to Nottingham, via Dubai.

Tough game this Brentford are massive as we all know, Toney will be back you can bet on that, and this game comes a few days after we’ve been to the seaside riding the donkeys.

Brentford 0-4 Forest

Brentford are bottom of the league form table with 5 losses, including to Sheffield and Palace, and just got knocked out of the cup by Wolves.

After us their next 5 are Spurs, Liverpool, Wolves again and Man City twice (don't know how that's happened).

Our fan base has gone into a must-win pre-meltdown when we've been in a similar position so there'll be massive pressure on this for them.

Think that Aguilera has played herself an opportunity to start, especially with Danilo and CHO having such an inconsistent impact. Wouldn't mind seeing the same CBs as tonight.

If CHO and Danilo are out we really are going to have an odd team on Saturday. Wood up top and who else ?? Probably have about 5 midfielders.

I'm starting to feel calm with Nuno because he has the experience and he will know we don't want extra time and I expect him to set up the team to avoid extra time.
If it goes to extra time our plans have failed.
I was calm for the first 50 minutes, but then it became the Vlach-led shitshow.

Hope it doesn’t cost us on Saturday.

We’re certainly going to be struggling for width. Might have to consider wing-backs or using one of our full-backs as a wide attacker.

After watching that garbage last night I'd be ecstatic with a draw let alone a win.

Problem is it's must win.
