He's not even the worst signing in our current squad while Harry Arter remains at the club. His contract also runs to 2023.
That January window and the following Summer I really started to doubt whether Lamouchi was the genius some had him out to be

It's hard to know how much of it was Lamouchi or Modesto to be fair.

I thought Sabri did a great job squeezing as much as possible from a limited squad, but he and the squad struggled to get over missing out on the play offs on the last day.

The lockdown break and the return with no spectators allowed, particularly at the CG, had a huge impact Ash.

It did seem to affect us massively. We lost all momentum and some teams coped better than others without fans present. Our team was one that thrived on the support to get over the line and struggled without them.

That’s the often quoted excuse but I thought Sabri was a tactical Pygmy, certainly compared with Coops. The side played one way and one way only and we weren’t good enough to do that. Clubs found us out and it was a relatively easy system to pick off.

So, the break in any momentum by way of lockdown, and an empty stadium had zero impact, OK, if you say so.

Lockdown was an excuse for everything that went wrong for any individual, any organisation, any nation.

And they're still hiding behind it.

That's an opinion you're perfectly entitled to. I happen to think it's both ignorant and crass to believe that no one was genuinely negatively impacted by it.

I know a couple of people who are still struggling with the consequences, and they're amongst the most mentally strong individuals I'd ever met.

I've no doubt that lockdown had a contributing factor to our downfall that season. However, I do think we'd been found out. Not to worry, Cooper did it. And did it better!

Hey

I am a supporter of the Stade Malherbe de Caen (and of Joe Strummer too, you guessed it) where Da Costa was on loan this season. A small ambitious league 2 club, we strongly hope that we can keep Da Costa with us next season, he made a great job, although he is under contract and his salary is complicated to assume given our salary grid. Would be nice if possible to find some deal, I think he enjoyed playing with us, and he looks like what we need to see further.

No questions specifically, just the opportunity for me to wish you the best for the coming season. Good to see NFU and Brice Samba in PL.

best regards

Thanks for answering, nice to meet you Strummer. In france we say "les grands esprits se rencontrent"

Is that bar still there opposite the train station ? I went once at five on a Sunday morning and it was full of coke heads , didn’t stop long.
