According to a recent report by Alfredo Pedulla via Fichajes, Liverpool’s transfer strategy is taking an intriguing turn this winter. I think it's BS. Liverpool have Van Dijk,Konate,Gomez and Quansah(whose coming through the ranks and is excellent).

£5m seems like an absolute steal and I struggle to believe that he's actively chosen Russia over the PL -however nice St Petersburg is.
Maybe Nuno has somebody else in mind? Maybe our scouts were unconvinced on his showing in the CWC v City where he had a bit of a stinker?

Might also be that a different shape is preferred - you don't need as many CB's if you only plan on using two at a time, or think that you have a midfielder capable of dropping in when needed (Yates).
