(I don’t mind the NEP cribbing content off here, as long as they correctly attribute the comments and link to the forums - which previously they had been somewhat reluctant to do).

Bumping this so the other thread doesn't tail into a Clough discussion.

Again I'm not saying he should be employed should Sabri go, I don't think Sabri should go. Nigel gets a lot of pelters on here with some hating him for managing derby and saying nasty things (he was the manager of derby, you won't see Bill Gates revealing the latest iPhone either).

Brian Clough managed derby before forest and the poisoned dwarf that had forest closer to the Prem on 2 occasions than 99% of the previous 324 managers in that time period.

If by some miracle he did, I need to look at a career in politics. I've said in every post he isn't right for the job at the moment, but his career so far and personality shouldn't be panned as much as it is by some.

What is an absurd reason not to employ someone is rivalry, B Clough and B Davies both managed derby. It’s also an absurd reason to employ someone just because of their status with the club eg Pearce.

The only question that matters is, is he good enough? That’s the only thing that matters. Okay record at Derby, he turned sheff u around and did a good job at Burton but if fizzled out. I think he is a candidate but there are probably other better ones out there.

It’s not worth it Nigel. This club will chew you up and spit you back out and to a whole generation of fans you will be nothing more than a manager who got sacked after 5 months.
