Yeah, Parker got the „Find Out“ bit after his criticism of the Board.

As in, „f*** Around and Found Out“.

What this does show is the job Eddie Howe did in getting Bournemouth promoted last time around and keeping them in the Premiership for a few years whilst at the same time keeping faith with the principals of what the club was about i.e. running the club sustainably (as far as is possible), recruiting young, promising, exciting players and "together, anything is possible'.

Parker gave the Board no choice: he told them “Back me or sack me”.
He's been critical for weeks.

They could have sacked him in pre-season if they weren't going to back him and given their preferred manager the chance to mould the squad to his liking.

Ran sustainably but apart from when they drove a coach & horses through the FFP regs to get promoted first time

They could, but remember he had just won promotion for them.
The back me or sack me came after the defeat by Man City, after which Parker was pushing for new players before the window closes. The failure of the Board to respond with new signings pushed Parker into a corner.

When he said losing 9-0 was not a surprise and they are not equipped to compete at this level, he knew he was done.

Just wish they’d hung on and struggled a bit longer before a new manager and potential bounce comes in. Hopefully their squad is dire enough that it won’t matter…

Can't imagine the players were too happy with him publicly insulting them by wanting to replace them either.

Pretty clear it wasn't the results that got him sacked, from the statement.

Hoping that with 2 days left of transfer window they fail to add anyone significant to their squad. I’d be surprised if they did as surely they would have done it by now.

I don’t think their squad is that bad tbh. They might have been guilty of throwing the towel in on Saturday though.

It is pretty bad but you expect a manager not to say that and at least try to convince his own players they are good.

Can you ever imagine Cooper coming out and saying his players aren't good enough. He may well say it behind the scenes but if you are saying it week after week in pressers you are asking to get sacked. I imagine the players won't be too bothered.

As Eddie pointed out that's aload of rubbish. They spent huge in all of Howe's time there in his 2nd spell, even in the PL where he wasted a load of money on dross towards the end

That's a side that will finish bottom for me.

I'd only have Lerma and Cook from that 11 and it's not like I think we're miles better than them.

And maybe Keiffer Moore to stop him scoring against us.

Right then, that's Parker gone....

WHO'S NEXT FOR THE CHOP?

I'll go for Brendan Rodgers.

I am sticking with my first pick!

Can't wrap my head round why Parker has got the chop.

They've had Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool as three of their first four fixtures and they're still outside the relegation zone. Through in the cup as well.

No real investment this year with Parker warning they'd have a season of struggle.

What's the point of the sacking? If they just didn't fancy him they should have axed him over summer like we should have done with Hughton.
He went very public

They spent heavily, but remeber they sold >£150m of players in the summer following that relegation.
As for FFP being breached - we might have stayed compliant during the promotion season, but I wonder how the FFP caculation will look for Forest come June 2023.

I think its an equal record and 3-4 other clubs have done it before.

The statement which the club gave is a bit weird too. I think there is a bit of a difference though with EM as he is investing, said he does not want to just make up the numbers but acknowledges its a building project. I can imagine even if the worse happens, he will stick with Coops as he knows he is a good bet to get us back up at the first go.
Thats the narrative we are all hoping for. Sadly unless you are round the Marinakis breakfast table we have no idea if its true!.
What's for sure is the big guy has loads of contacts in football and I bet there are tons of coaches he has access to that would give their right arm to coach in the prem....
Stupider things have happened...

We'd have been fine because we would've flogged players to stay within FFP limits, as we always have done

Jack Ross has just been sacked by Dundee United after Celtic beat them 9-0. How has Ralph Hasenhuttl kept his job at Southampton? :ROFLMAO:
Damn what a downward slide Ross has taken since getting UNFAIRLY sacked at Sunderland in 2018. I thought he was gonna come good.

Only took over at Dundee United in June this year but their results and performances have been shocking.

7-0 loss to AZ Alkmaar. 9-0 to Celtic. 4-1 to Hearts. 3-0 to St Mirren.

Dundee United finished 4th in the league last season. Ross is not a bad manager so not sure what's gone on there. Maybe just the wrong fit.
