NEXT manager to get the chop 22/23 season.

My money is on Gerrard. My sis is a Villa fan and she is not happy. Still unconvinced Marsch is a capable manager. Chelsea handed them the game yesterday.

I'm not sure sacking Rodgers will actually help Leicester. Their main problem is that they have an aging squad and key players have left or are looking to leave. Those problems won't magically go away with a change of manager, the wrong appointment could even see them battling relegation.

I agree that Villa are looking dodgy under Gerrard and he needs to turn things around before he finds himself in hot water. The media will be devastated if Fat Frank and Slippy G both get sacked!

They could go to the MLS and be massive successes like Roo...

If you look at all the teams below us in the league, with the probable exception of Klopp, you could make a case for any of them to be first out of the door.

Gerrard's another who has got a PL job way too early because of his name alone. He only won one trophy in 2 and half years in Scotland so I think the job he did with Rangers was overrated considering they were always going back to the top regardless

There’s a few who will be walking the tight rope soon.

Gerrard
Rogers
Matey from Southampton.

It’s a shame the Leeds manager has started so well, I’m still confident he will turn to shit soon mind as he is a clown.

He did a very underwhelming job, I remember there was a lot of expectation when he came in. It just hasn't happened & they still seem to have a very old squad despite changing pretty much the entire team since he arrived.

Villa v West ham at the weekend.

I suspect the loser of that could be in trouble.

West Ham have Spurs & Chelsea after that. Villa have Arsenal & Man City.

Lesdah have Chelsea then Man U, still think they will get nil point from that and then the chop for Rogers.
I just think they are skint mate so I don't think there is much pressure from the inside of the club on Rodgers. It will only come from outside whether they are influenced or not.

Yeah, it seems to be their fans (that have very short memories and delusions of grandeur) that have an axe to grind with Rodgers. Their owners seem to have turned the funding taps off, and sacking Rodgers would probably put more pressure on them to spend if their fortunes don't improve with a change of manager (which would most likely be the case). I reckon they'll just try and ride out the season with Rodgers, which is probably the right choice IMO.

They’ll persevere with him until after the transfer window closes and then put a new manager in that can’t spend any money until January

Rodgers I think will manufacture a departure or be poached when there's something to move to. Can't blame him too much for such a poor start with Leicester's owners tying his hands with sales only so far in the transfer window. Everton might fancy moving him in when they get rid of Fat Frank, at least they'll have a better squad after Leicester's been gutted.

Didn't he have a really good Dortmund side then they just collapsed, never recovered and almost got relegated - so he resigned. That would be ideal to happen at Liverpool.

edit: to answer my own question no that didn't happen, but they were in the relegation zone in February

Last time I met the venerable Rocka we were discussing our friends down the A46. It's taken a few years but they are finding their level again and I bet Rodgers is quietly regretting not taking the Arsenal job when he was in the frame. You're sinking fast lads
