Neco Shay Williams

As long it's just a wound he'll be OK.

Obviously, we hope there's no other injury or concussion.

Call me a snowflake but I'm not sure that making jokes about Brennan kicking Neco in the face when to be fair, Neco has bravely dived in to try and score for us is called for to be honest. Neco looked in a really bad way and I'm sure Brennan is gutted about it.

Given that we got a concussion substitute out of it and Neco had to go to hospital on a stretcher, i'd say it's pretty serious. That'll be the second concussion of the season for Neco as well.

Not been a fan of the lad for most of the season but he's been alright the past couple of games, thought he was doing well for us tonight as well before that.

Neco has had his critics this season and I was quite a loud one of those people but his performances over the last three or four games have been exceptional, a contender for MOTM in each.

Really unfortunate for him to get injured now and feel for the lad after all the hard work he's put in.

Having not been his biggest fan, I can’t argue he had a couple of good games and probably had his best game last night for us. So with how things have gone this season it stands to reason he gets a bad injury. He was very brave with that header, feel really sorry for him. I hope he’s not badly injured.

Nothing wrong with being critical as long as it's justified. Neco has been poor and really struggled this season. The last few games he's really turned it around though and has been excellent, nobody is going to argue a lot of that is down to him switching into the wing back role.

Last night he was right up there for man of the match until he went off. I hope it's not as bad as initially feared because he's really going to be a loss for us in that role for the run in.

I’d like to think not only has Neco worked very hard himself in the background but also the coaches have been working closely with him and influenced his recent improvements

I've never been a fan of Neco but he has shown in the last few games that he does have quite a bit of ability in his preferred position. He has also shown that he has battling qualities and he has got better as the pressure on Forest has increased. I'm actually looking forward to seeing him develop further next year under Cooper

BTsport had Williams as one of our players of the season last night. Odd!

Get well soon chap - hope it's not as bad as it looked and pleased for the lad that he's turned it round and found consistency in his last four, showcasing why we bought him in. He's a kid and will be a very decent player for us over the length of his contract.

That's very strange! Unfortunately he has looked a bit of a liability in most games this season but there is definitely a wingback there.

BT Sport also said he was ever-present for Forest which isn't even close.
It could be that they don't have a bloody clue.
He's definitely been one of our best players of the last few games though.

Yeah I caught that too - useless! Agree with the last bit - been great since Villa, when we switched him to his preferred role. Not that playing him out of position was anyone's fault - we only had two fit centre backs at the time!

I think this season has shown that whilst you get much more media coverage in the Premier League if you're not a top 6/7 club it's mostly misinformed nonsense spouted by idiots stealing a living in the media.

I think that describes most of the media in fairness - only Keane has us right and that's because of his recent knowledge of and affinity fir the club. It's also because he's Roy Keane.

He's the new Matty Cash.
In so much that changing his position slightly has given him a new lease of life.
Been terrific these past few games.

He does remind of Matty cash a bit - probably not as defensively/positionally sound but similar in terms of energy. (I'd have him pegged as an ADHD Matty Cash, or a Matty Cash on amphetamines!)

Different player at wing back; he's been good since playing in his best position. A real shame what happened to him last night just as he was starting to show what he can do. I wish him a speedy recovery.

His quality has improved immeasurably since getting injured

Looking at the incident this morning it looks like BJ’s studs catch him in the face. Hopefully it’s superficial damage and he’s back in the fold in the next week or so. Hope the club give us an update later.
