I might well cry if Forest are forced into selling him because of this bullshit financial cartel of the Premier League.

He was frankly superb tonight, possibly the best I have ever seen him in a Forest shirt, he was everywhere first half, dictating play and conducting operations, scored a superb goal, and always looked a threat.

Got a lot of ridiculous stick but we would be completely lost without him. Shows how fickle fans can be. That assist stat that was shown at half time shows how important he is.

…few players kiss the badge and mean it but I genuinely believe he does, at least, appreciate the love. Got a load of stick at wolves and we have shown him the love he needs. Very few players get a full display in their honour

and he was so humble in the post-match interview about the banner, saying that it inspired him.

Forest absolutely have to keep this lad, he is the key component that makes the side tick.

I was thinking about this earlier. I went to my first game in the early 90's, so I missed out on the glory years - so as far as players I've seen myself, it's a toss up between Collymore and Gibbs-White when it comes to pure footballing talent. And he's certainly in my all-time XI.

He plays like he's still on the playground. It's beautiful to see at times.

I don't want to be morbid about him, but it feels inevitable, like it did with Johnson last season that he'll go in the summer. His inconsistency actually comes, I think from trying to be the man here and not always having the players on the same wavelength. I think if he goes to a team in the summer where he can do what he does but with better players, he might actually get the England cap.

I think he has enough respect for the club that he wouldn't force a move, but I think for him, he doesn't get to where he wants with us.
Dodgy first corner aside tonight, he was at his best tonight. When he's at his best, we usually win.

Would make my all time XI as well.

We've had debates before about if X player only had better players around him he'd look even better. Well that's true of MGW but he still looks the best player on the pitch often.
