Is that a joke? It's not exactly new that it's a foul if you go for the ball and get the player. Holgate was attempting to win the ball, so by his logic that shouldn't even be a booking then?
He's one of my least favourite "pundits" for all the flack you see some people in the media get that guy honestly just seems like the sort of bumbling idiot you'd find in a pub who you'd want to just leave you alone. You wouldn't even debate or discuss things with as he's talking such crap you'd assume he was just mentally unwell!

That's the rub - I thought it was a harsh second yellow but ultimately he made contact and so to call him a cheat is frankly ridiculous.
As punishment for being a contentious fuckwit, Crooks should be challenged to recreate the movement from Morgan that he is calling simulation. Virtually impossible without contact, but it would sure be fun watching the fat prick try.

If it wasn't a second booking it would have just been one of a dozen or two similar incidents in the same game. Would have been the same in every other game too
Weirdly when players get kicked on the foot they go down, who'd have thought. Philips is a strong top level athlete attempting to kick a ball hard, doesn't take an expert to work out if a top level football kicks your foot with the force he wad attempting to kick a ball it might actually hurt a little...
