I've got a theory that since our long term record signing (Carvalho) was a disaster and our current one (Awoniyi) has been questioned a lot during pre season, maybe MGW is expected to be crap but will raise the game of all other sub £45m signings. Give him the record fee curse, bomb squad him, let the other £120m worth of signings rip it up.

Not saying he can't go on to be integral. But one good season in the championship does not justify this fee in my opinion. Obviously i hope i am wrong. It's a massive gamble especially when Aouar would cost a lot less and has been proven at a much higher level for much longer. My Step dad and brother are both Wolves fans and they've never raved about him.
If we sold Johnson for the same price at the end of the season i would be saying the same about whichever team had brought him. I just think it is a crazy fee when you consider what we could get for that money from Germany or France etc

I am all behind it if this was coopers number 1 target, which is seems.
He certainly has something about him and only time will tell how much he will improve what we currently have, he does excite me as a signing though.
