matt1982 said:i think we do need to sort out full back positions and central midfield positions - there is constant flux, of who's playing there and it must be bad for team harmony...of course the situation isnt helped by people constantly getting injured/suspended Chambers and Lynch are not good enough fullbacks for this division...whilst it is arguable Perch again has been more effective in midfield this season than rb....even though hes better at rb than chambers, it cant be easy for him constantly having to change position and adapt, as per team needs. With Moussi and Lewis out, i actually think he's a better partner for cohen in midfield than fletcher but, then of course that means Chambers would have to play rb, which of course dont want either, as per above!
I would really like CC to invest in proper fullbacks rather than players playing out of position (even both chambers and lynch are naturally centrebacks), and good enough quality for this league. We could then stop worrying about those positions and it would also help the midfield conundrum as Perch would either play there, or not play and be on the bench
ajgray15 said:this thread should be full back problems! lynch done ok - been better than bennett this season - defo need a right back - and a better left back.
ok in mid if they all stay fit
Famous said:Well thats precisely the point, they are not!
There is an important distinction to make here. The full back position is not a problem caused by injuries, just blind faith and bad planning. However, the midfield situation is caused by injuries so is a more pressing concern in the short term with so many tough games coming up.
