Meet the New-Look Recruitment Team (The same as the old team (nearly))

Yes, the rumour has been refuted from our side as well. My guess: EM made a move, there was no agreement, and it's in the interest of both sides to deny anything happened.
To be honest I'm not surprised. Not sure how it is at Olympiakos but the turnover of the upper management staff here has been crazy in the last few years so you couldn't blame Edu for having reservations about moving from a top job at Arsenal.

EM recruiting Edu would be a massive move. Probably would have to offer the kind of salary almost impossible to refuse. Interesting story to watch.

Good quartet of ex players to equal with if you're an aspiring footballer. Just needs a Chris Cohen to finish the team.

Not recruitment but worth posting here anyway

Only missing a keeper and that's a cracking 5 a side team

He'll be calling Forest 'us' pretty soon.
Unless we play Leicester I expect. Like I said it's petty and I appreciate he captained them to a league title but it annoyed me. He could have used neutral language but didn't. So now I don't like him and would rather he was in seagrave with his blue mates.

Not happy with Big Wes coming back. I know it's petty but seeing him refer to Leicester as "us" when they played us rubbed me the wrong way. He can stay the wrong side of the A46.
Was he a contracted Leicester player at the time?

I don't blame him for the inital move, it obviously worked out for him in ways he'd have never dreamed of but even disregarding that we were an absolute shambles at the time on and off the field. His move kept the lights on for a little while longer.

My only question regarding all of this is about the actual coaching credentials of these players. Are we just bringing them in as they live down the road and used to play for us or are they actually going to bring something to the table?

If I recall correctly his move allowed us to sign an aged, unfit Marlon Harewood on loan for six months.

I wonder about Wes myself from a coaching perspective but he's on the scouting side apparently so that's probably the reason why.

Grabban according to Keinan Davis was an excellent mentor and coach to him during his time. Apparently he worked with him closely and he even attributed some of the goals he scored directly to the coaching Grabban did with him. Cooper also mentioned that he had been excellent with some coaching work.

Have you ever tried referring a group of which you are a part without using the words 'us' or 'we' in a natural conversation?
Its hard because those are the pronouns for a group of which you are a part.

Obviously there are ways around it but as you say it's difficult and Wes isn't the most articulate of people so I'm not surprised that he fell foul of that.

There seems to be some dissatisfaction, bordering on anger even, amongst Leicester fans that Wes was offered a role here and not there.

Folk bang on like he's some sort of Forest legend

In reality he was f***ing crap for most of his time here

Forest fans often said Wes Morgan was too slow to make it at a higher level, but we were crap and he was one of our best players
