I remember going to one in Boston, once. I think there was one in Detroit too, but we went to Applebees instead, because they had the big tellies in there with the football on (the American kind, not proper football).
Cultural creep is real.
Mind you, the last time I went to Nottingham (over Christmas) I took my daughter to the pantomime at the Theatre Royal, and we walked past a shop that proclaimed to sell „German Kebabs“ (yes, Kebabs, not Kebaps) - as I was frankly appalled at the mis-spelling, I gave the place a wide berth.
The faux-Bierkeller on Friar Lane was bad enough!

It’s always worth it. Especially drunk or blown, Taco Bell is the best meal for that. Or Jack in the box but that is a specific experience for only those who been to this side of the country.

They had decent burgers as well, with the choice of sweet potato fries, and some very nice local IPAs.

As much as people like to shit on Applebees (sometimes it’s deserved), if you need a quick meal with some sports to watch then Applebees isn’t that bad of an option. Burger looks good and any place serving local beers gets tons of respect from me.
