Mills has had more bad games than good, which for a professional defender probably getting paid the best part of £10,000 a week is pretty shit..
Difficult to argue, but if we're using wages/performance as a stick to beat our players with. Theres quite a few in the queue ahead of Mills who only get half the criticism.
With this in mind does it mean you would want him to stay or go?.
Few rumblings that the supposed swap deal could be as part of a deal for Morsy, makes a bit of sense if it's true; Wigan are probably going up and I've seen a few of their fans say they need a centre half. I think it'd be a decent move for Mills, he'd likely be back starting regularly in the Championship again in 7 months time. They also signed Jay Fulton from Swansea yesterday who is a centre mid so maybe a Morsy replacement.
Interesting. Morsy is a similar kind of player to Bridcutt isn't he?
Agreed. Mancienne has been injury free of late but can be prone to injury lay offs.
For me Worrall has to be who we build our defence around. Make him captain but I would like to see an experienced, quality centre back with him to help him develop.
Much like how Des helped develop Dawson. Ironically Dawson could be the player to help him develop. A bigger presence than Mancienne who i sometimes fell is a bit slight for centre back.
Maybe in the future Anel and Iacovitti will come through and slot into that position alongside Worrall. A Dawson like centre back would help their development too.

Shipping Mills out and not waiting until his contract expires certainly makes sense, because he is one of the few players of yours with expiring contracts whom somebody might want. Nobody will rush in for Hobbs, Fox, Vaughan, Cohen. Best then to concentrate on getting rid of Mills and Carayol.
Provided of course that you buy at least one good central defender, because you will be left with only two healthy ones.
Agree with this.Genuinely think Manciennes overrated here though. Never subscribed to Mancienne the classy ball playing CB, he's prone to switching off & doesnt direct enough for a senior CB.
That said, he's looked excellent post Warburton when allowed to get rid plus he always stands up in backs to the wall performances.
Not convinced he's beyond mid championship, given his best hasn't really delivered.
Worrall plus New CB for me.
Agree with this.
Also agree with Chris that a good pairing is a stopper and a ball player. Where I disagree is that I think Worrall is the ball player and needs a taller, stronger compatriot next to him.

Yeah, to be honest I can see Joe developing into the “Sweeper” too.
It’s been evident to me (as I always make a point of looking out for it) how much young Worrall’s confidence at bringing the ball out from the back has improved in the last few months.
Joe Worrall alongside a Wes Morgan-type no-nonsense Centre Back would be a very tidy combination in the next few years.
I like a Defender, me.
In much the same way as Shergar remains an excellent racehorse....Fox is one of our best defenders
Barnsley would be better signing Heather f***ing Mills. And she's got less legs than Matt
