Forest to score first, then we score 3 in a row before they get one late to set up a nervy finish.
Forest are no mugs, not so great away from home though. If we can keep our defence tight I back our forward line to score in every game. 2 nil or 3-1 Swans. Edit just saw they beat Fulham away but gonna stick to my prediction.
They are unbeaten away from home so far, Drew at Leeds as well.
I saw Leeds play forest earlier in the season and the game was very similar to the Leeds Swansea game in respect of possison and shots attempted with Leeds having the lions share although Leeds scored but managed to concede a very scrappy goal (must have had 3 or 4 chances to clear)
However I thought Forest were a poor team with no real attacking outlet although a very big side with 2 massive CB's in Dawson and Worrall so quite solid at the back but lacking pace. Their tactics were poor as well constant time wasting, kick ball away etc and always in the ref's ear especially Ben Watson who the ref let control things (ref was very poor).
Forest are there for the taking if we play well as we have been.
Expect Forest to sit deep, could be frustrating but I fancy we ll break them down. 2-0.
While I do think we'll beat them, I'll be rapped if we can get any sort of win. Forest are one of those teams that at their best can beat anyone (hence the 2-1 win @ Fulham), but at the same time could put in a stinker and we win 3-0.
Another tough one 2-1 for me.
With our firepower up top, we inevitably are going to leave gaps and chances for the opposition, Brum didn't have the quality to create a chance and the back 4 against Leeds limited them to pot shots from 20 yards for the most part. I am fairly confident in Woodmans ability though should a team create goal scoring opportunities.
A Notts fan on one of their forums thinks that they won't get anything at the Vetch: hard to disagree with that.
All I got from the vetch was a seat and a Tomos Watkins advertising board.
I think you meant a Forest fan, Notts are County.
Hard to disagree with that too.
In your defence, they're Notts Forest.
Well your 100% wrong there sorry, it's Notts County, and Nottingham Forest.
I think you'll not find a single Forest fan who would agree.
Otherwise know as …… Forest, The Reds, Tricky Trees but definitely not Notts Forest.
That really winds them up though. I mean really. So they'll always be Notts Forest to me. They've drawn away at Charton and Leeds and beaten Fulham away. Their home form is more patchy although they also did Clot's Crapheap 3-0. Tough tough game coming up. Heart says 3-1 head says 0-0 or 1-1.
No they’re not. They’re Nottingham Forest abbreviated to Nottm Forest of the city of Nottingham. Notts County are what it says on the tin: of the county of Nottinghamshire abbreviated to Notts . Simple really.
Need to be careful with this one, potential banana skin. They looked pretty good against Fulham and moved the ball around well and countered very quickly. We must make sure not to get caught out when we turn the ball over when attacking.
I'll go for 2-2 any pace on the wings will cause us problems.
It's one of those games that is difficult to call, Forest on their day can turn over anyone. That said however we are more than capable of the same.
They kicked Celina out of the game last season down here.
Mainly our problem last year for me, no way near physical enough, bullied out of it. I feel their new manager is moving towards a footballing game rather then the push and shove of Karanka.
Leeds absolutely battered this lot, and they came away with a lucky draw. I know Leeds did the same to us, but we shouldn't have a problem, they aren't up to much.
Incidentally, it was Forest who ruined our good start to the Div 1 days and that was a game we were confident of winning beforehand. Can’t imagine that having any influence on this game but thought I’d mention it anyway.
I think these days were more or less guaranteed to score.
One of the dirtiest sides I seen in years at the Liberty last season. Celina was cynically fouled and was injured and missed the next few games.
Last years side came to kick us and that might have got them a draw this time round.
They apparently play more football this season so if we can press from the front and turn possession over we can definitely win this one. A good start would certainly help.
Fulham started the season well but they were very poor against Cardiff so don't think we can read much into NF's result there.
Slow start.
Still a dirty team, I will be shocked if Forest make it through this match with 11 men.
Brilliant save by Woodman. He'll be worth 10+ points on his own this season.
We got to wake up here, could be 3 down.
Forest hit crossbar, we need to take control again.
Good side this lot.
Great reaction by Woodman gathering it. He is saving our raggedy asses thusfar.
Best side we have played this season. Very fortunate to be level.
You know, I'm not sure they're that good - we've just been very mediocre this first half.
In fact they are that good, which is why they're making us look bad. Forest had the toughest start to the season of any club (including us) and have lost only once. However our passing game does tend to create more chances in the 2nd half, so here's hoping.
We're all over the place to be fair. Fcking international breaks.
Manager of the month curse, would take a point now.
Let's see what Cooper does HT, because Ameobi looks up for this today.
Forest doing well, they’re no mugs and play neat quick football. We’re making it easy for them though.
League play this season, 1st half:
Swans 2, opponents 2
2nd half:
Swans 10, opponents 2
Lets hope Cooper does his magic. The difference so far is when they get forward they look like they will score. That Carvalho seems a very good footballer for them.
Their defence has had an easy day so far.
1 goal will win this..for who though.
FcukNuggets.
There we are. F**king deserved it. 0-1.
I'm not overly sussed by losing today. we looked at about halfspeed, and didn't look very threatening. Reset and go again.
Ground meet feet, feet meet ground. I will just leave you two to get reacquainted.
Luck had to turn eventually. We were poor again and finally punished by one of the big chances we've been routinely giving up.
The Forest keeper wont have an easier game this season... got out of jail with a 0-1.
They were simply better than us today, especially in the first half.
Congratulations to Forest. They deserved it. I expect to see then in the play-offs.
Fair enough result I thought.
It was the kind of performance we've been putting in for 45mins at home most of the season. Unfortunately, this time it lasted 90mins.
Forest worked harder, moved the ball better, moved their players better. We were summed up by the throw in late on in the second half. Deep into Forest territory, 1-0 down and not a single player showed for the ball.
Forest were a good side, tough to break down. Ameobi played well for them.
How the hell did we get more yellow cards when they had double the foul count.
Now then, anyone thinking Forest are in any way a great outfit needs help. Fact is, today, they worked harder. It was that simple.
That was f*cking horrific. They had several clear cut chances to score; 0-1 is flattering in the end.
The better side won for me today. They pressed harder and won more of the 50/50 balls. I think we lost it in midfield but very nearly got a point nevertheless. A mistake being our undoing in the end No need to panic. All good things come to an end sometime.
They deserved it. More dangerous with the ball and contained our snail pace huff and puff easily. As soon as they realised we had no real idea what we were doing after 15 mins or so and no pace at all to trouble them, they moved ten yards up the pitch and that was that. Nil nil would have been a cracking result on that display.
Forest fans Idiotic when they scored.
Came rushing over and one "hero" no more than 18 did make contact with his fist on at least one of our fans shoulder. Plus one had a plastic pint glass of water on him that he was throwing. None got turfed out despite plod filming away.
Some of our stewards give too many chances to away fans after they "offer one of us out" some are in their 40's and 50's not just kids doing it.
They were full of it in 2011 play off semi and last season.
Worst I've seen down here......bar "up the road".
Horrible fukcing bunch pissing in the glass and pouring it on away fans is their thing.
We met some nice ones before the game.
Sour grapes mun. Their support was loud and fantastic. We are top, yet as soon as Forest put pressure on us large sections of the ground started moaning. As for idiotic behaviour, good and bad at all clubs.
Stop being an old fuddy duddy OP. Can't blame them, great rush with a late goal. Plenty of seats they could have shifted over into.
Well the forest fan that did that must have had a reach like Tommy fucccking Hearns.
Their team had a good sprinkling of Leroy Fer's all over thr park, and we just couldn't match them physically.
Got no problem with losing today. Key players looked bit jaded, impressed with Forest" defending.
That's two games in a row we've been comprehensively outplayed.*Against Leeds we were out played all match and were fortunate they didn't score. Today we were out played all match and were fortunate they only scored one.
We have played some superb football at times, however as you say we have been outplayed now against Leeds and Forest and in parts against Preston, all three teams I'd expect to be in the play offs, top 2 in Leeds' case.
They were bigger fitter and faster than us today, they won most second balls and closed us down well. Very good side.
Forest are no mugs, not so great away from home though. If we can keep our defence tight I back our forward line to score in every game. 2 nil or 3-1 Swans. Edit just saw they beat Fulham away but gonna stick to my prediction.
