No they’re not. They’re Nottingham Forest abbreviated to Nottm Forest of the city of Nottingham. Notts County are what it says on the tin: of the county of Nottinghamshire abbreviated to Notts . Simple really.

Except it isn't, County's ground being in the city and ours being in the county. Should we tell them?

Anyway - reading their comments brought on a strange sensation, can't quite put my finger on it, not sure how to.... oh yeah, that's it... pride. Welcome back to an old friend.

They're right about one thing - their defending isn't up to much, a trait of the Championship. Hang on in there Dawson.

.

But when it was established, the „City Ground“ was within the then-City boundaries?

Indeed, the current one is the second City Ground; the original was across the River, at the foot of the Meadows, and was originally called the „Town Ground“, when Nottingham was still a town.

When the City received its charter, the original ground was renamed „The City Ground“. Forest then moved over the River, when a larger site became available.

The boundary issue only changed when the borough of Rushcliffe was chartered, and then subsequently the City-boundary was redrawn, to be smaller than originally, and extended out towards Clifton.

Where's me hammer?
Those who claim they don’t go to away due to the fans are lying. You have no intention of going regardless of how our fans behave.

I'd be confident in saying that probably only a handful have done more home and away games than me in the last 30 or so years. I considered it a privilege to be in a position to have been able to do that.

One of the reasons I jacked in going away last season was because of pissed up behaviour of our nob head fans, chucking ale about, standing up even on the front row, not actually watching the game and cramming together like a bunch of bumboys into the same row because they werent clever enough to buy tickets together.

You see I've got a kid I take now who the twats carrying out the above behaviour dont seem to see whilst they are carrying out said acts of bellendness.

It ain't worth having a quiet word with them as you cant reason with twat especially if they are on the gear, which seems to be quite a problem now at football.

I'm all for people having a good time and doing whatever they want but it shouldn't affect others like I've seen it do on an ever increasing basis.

And therefore as per above I think your statement i quoted is a load of bollocks.

As someone who goes away far more than home I completely echo Barry’s sentiments. Took my father in law to Swansea a couple of years ago when a load of our fannies kicked the door through to get out, straight into police. Felt ashamed. Took my son (7) to Ashton Gate, some miserable old **** who was on his own (and may even be on here for all I know) had taken one of our seats - we were very early and the seats weren’t especially central. I get people are less bothered about seat numbers but the twat just stood there f’ing and blinding in front of my kid. Hope the miserable old f*** lives a very lonely life.

Yes it’s away, yes it should be a laugh, but no excuses for being a massive cock simply because you have have nowt between the ears. All clubs have them, we have plenty.
