Feel a bit for the players.

Sels getting pelters but two shots right in the corner where he's unsighted.

CHO has been slated. Yet he could've set one up and scored one without some blatant fouls.

And what does it do to the players mentally knowing they're being screwed over by the supposedly impartial officials.

On the flip side we seemed really flat, and tactics seemed off. We should've been all over them after that Chelsea result. And worst of all is the way we leave central midfield unmanned at times. Gueye and Braithwaite were able to run from inside their own half to the edge of our box. It was the same under Cooper. Shocking.

I read on further and it lead to the story of a referee called Gulliver Wahl who sounds equally brilliant and batshit mental.

"On one notable occasion Wahl dismissed two players for adopting “an inappropriately insouciant attitude” to kick-off, while on another, a particularly fraught corner ended with him booking the left-hand goalpost for obstruction".

How we could use someone of his competence as a referee in our matches rather than the turds we get lumped with.

Players and staff have done a Brighton all over again, haven't they?

Brighton, well beaten away from home and despite us having an extra few days rest compared to them we went there and capitulated.

Everton, well beaten away from home and despite us having an extra few days rest compared to them we went there and capitulated.

Those decisions were really disgraceful today but we really are our own worst enemies.

I feel like Danny Murphy on MOTD is about to support our cause.

Disappointed, he usually speaks his mind but chose the whitewash option. BBC closing ranks with the "2 out of the 3 penalties not penalties" diatribe as well.

Everyone that is mainstream is going to toe the line. They get rights from the PL and the PGMOL although allegedly independent also represent the premier league and it's integrity. The PL are going to hit any broadcasters that question their integrity hard and that would also include any future rights. They will be under very clear instructions from senior executives and lawyers not to back the statement. We might see a bit more support from those that are independent/freelance

Especially when we've just seen a Coventry get awarded a far less blatant hand ball literally a couple of hours later. What are the rules other than ”Forest shall not be awarded any penalties or their oponatnts ever receive a red card”

Well, just finished. I suppose we'll start with the refereeing. Generally, we can't have many complaints about Taylor. He was ok. Atwell was obviously on VAR. I think the handball was iffy. I think the challenge on CHO by Ashley Young (from behind, I might add) was a stone PK. How that can be deemed, and I quote, a "normal degree of contact " is absolutely beyond me. So, there's that.

Now, performance levels. I think faulting Sels for either goal is extremely harsh. The second, in particular, he had no chance. First, I think his view was screened a bit and that may explain a bit of a lethargic reaction. Reyna did little in his time on the field. Elanga wasn't any better, in fact, probably worse. Dominguez was mediocre at best. I thought CHO did well up front, he at least created a few things. Wood was unlucky not to score. Pickford made a world class save. MGW was awful. The 60th minute miss was inexcusable. He had almost no impact on the entire game. Danilo looked quite good, and the back four were fine, particularly the two CBs. Neco was a bit off it today, but he certainly wasn't poor. For me, a game MGW had to show up for, and he didn't.

We are in deep shit folks.

You could have almost predicted that from the BBC/Sky Sports crew.

'Maybe that was a pen, hmm and maybe that one, but that last challenge definitely was a pen and I'm surprised VAR didn't look at it but it doesn't mean it's all corrupt. Such a strange statement to come out with, isn't it? It's just a lot of what's been happening all season. Standards need to improve'.

Just like the boxing judge who is trying not to look they're favouring one boxer over the other who is so obviously losing, they'll try to find a way to make it a draw on the scorecards.

So what is the point of VAR? It was supposed to reduce the element of human error and give us more accurate decisions once footage is viewed and thoroughly checked in a backroom by a few blokes sipping tea. However the 'human error' element is somehow worse.

It's about time we brought in officials from abroad to run VAR who have no bias in them whatsoever, and let's give Spain or Italy people like Attwell.

Entirely predictable and it's one of those situations where the media is peddling a different narrative to the overwhelming public opinion.

We're seeing it politically on a number of major fronts where mainstream media are hellbent of pushing out a narrative and seem completely oblivious to the fact that public opinion is completely opposed.

Not often this happens in sport and particularly football but here we are with the straw that finally broke the camels back.

Just got back - f***ing putrid. Yates needs to be in midfield because he's the only midfielder we have that isn't both slow and soft like softies Dan and Dom and the laboured Sangare.

Wish we still had Mangala. Team has no identity. Praying the prices will come down in the Championship and Nuno won't be in charge.

For those that heard the hardman offering fans out for being negative during the game... Well Mr positive left before full time. 🤣 Ooooooooooo!

I wouldn't be surprised if we were fined for bringing the game into disrepute.
Which really is because we've spoken about the cheating publicly. The game's already in disrepute, every fan knows it. Every pundit knows it but they don't want to kill the goose that's laying them their golden eggs.

Yeah as I said in another post - the game bloody well is disreputable! About time someone highlighted it. We’re far from innocent ourselves of course but so what?

To be fair to Murphy I thought he made valid points. He said the first wasn’t one for him but our argument is that many similar are given. I’m totally onboard with that. For me the first should never have become a penalty.

The second he said was a 50/50 call but plenty are given. I personally don’t t think this should be a penalty either but often they are given and have been given against us, but not for us.

The last he was incredulous about and he called out how could they come to that decision.

Jagielka was far less on our side for obvious reasons. Firstly he is a former everton player and a dirty pig!!

Have discovered Kraken is available at your local supermarket.

Still sober enough to say we should have gone for it a little more, but what's the point if such clear decisions keep going against you?

VAR was 1 (3) huge reason(s) we did not score penalties today (certainly would not say 'win'). Our performance was another big reason. It was really hard to watch most of the game. I think the criminal VAR decisions are covering for that in some quarters.

We were pedestrian. Closing down didn't happen. Passes were nervous and sideways at best. The whole midfield disappeared for huge swathes of the game. It was utterly painful to watch us - so much so it was odd. It was disjointed, apathetic, and lacked the urgency that this game required. Empty shirts all over the pitch.

Our players are good - much better than having to hope Luton don't win any more points and most definitely better than Burnley's players. But as a team we're awful. The team has managed 1 more win than Luton and 2 more than Burnley and that's including breaking the rules and illegally flashing the cash. It's a very different feeling as a supporter when we were in a similar position as last year.

I pray we can scrap to safety and as I gambling man I'd say we will, but it hasn't been fun nor pretty.
