Are Everton still in the fight? Or is it just between us and Luton? They are just the 1 point ahead but with 2 games in hand. With those 2 games being at Chelsea tonight and hosting Liverpool next midweek we could well find ourselves leapfrogging them with a win in this one.

Everton beat ten man Burnley in their last home match to stop the rot of 13 in the league without a win.

Of course we are rubbish on the road too. The last away win was at Newcastle at the back end of 2023.

Having seen both teams play recently, it's safe to say it's going to be a crap nervy affair but we are more then capable of taking the points away with us.

Everton will score, and it’ll be a set-piece. That is nailed-on.

Whether Forest will turn up or not, is the question. If they do, they can maybe get something.

If they don’t, well.

Overload the middle, press high up the pitch, force Everton into long balls and hope the three at the back can sweep up.

Could do with Boly, Yates and Wood all fit, available, and on top form in this. It's a massive opportunity for us providing Chelsea beat Everton this evening.

Thought as much, we need height and physicality to combat Everton's strengths and quieten the crowd, then pace on the break to counter attack, so Elanga is crucial too.

Would be lovely if Awoniyi was near making the bench, so that we didn't have to see Origi too. Am I asking too much?

I think we have to start Dominguez and Danilo, for me the only way for that to work vs Everton is by playing a back 3, so we still have a few big bastards on set pieces.
I know no CHO or Elanga sounds crazy but I would rather have MGW & Reyna centrally ahead of Dominguez & Danilo, allowing for complete control of the middle of the pitch. Williams & Aina can then actually push forward as genuine wing backs.

I believe we will win this one, in fact I am certain. COYR!

I'd go the opposite, I think we can sacrifice height (as we're not going to win on that front regardless of who we pick) and try to dominate the ball. Press high-up the pitch so if we do give away fouls then they're can't swing them into the box.

I'm much happier for Everton to have to try and play direct into DCL from their defence. We can get bodies around him to win the first or second ball and if they play over the top then we should be able to deal with that.

Got to play for the win anyway for me, it's an opportunity, draw might not be enough.

I'd not really thought about the team selection much other than calling for Dominguez to come in for Yates but I really like that Maxi. I'm not convinced Nuno will have thought about it but I hope he has.

I just said 'I will love it if we beat them' to myself in Kevin Keegan's voice, then realised that's probably not the best omen.
