That tweet smacks of Clattenburg earning his corn. You could see him typing it as the game closed out. Likely has a direct line to the big man who couldn't resist sanctioning it.

I too would have liked to see a bit more fire in the bellies today - but I also imagine if you're out there on the pitch and see another string of corrupt decisions going against you it saps some of your will to win.

What's the point? And if you go flying into challenges as a response you'll get a red card.

After today I feel bizarrely optimistic, because it all looks so bleak. We're not down yet, not even bottom three, and maybe there are still a few twists and turns to come...

I just don’t see it as anywhere near some of the games in the last 20 years. Cov away, Plymouth at home when we went down to league one, Crewe away when we needed a win. Chester away, Barnsley away, Oldham away under Megson. Yeovil at home. Derby away 5-0. There are so many. This is a premier league game against a team who have spent £400m and everything went for them. They got the rub of the green.

It is frustrating as we keep losing these must win games against teams who are vulnerable but we are a million times above some of those performances in the past.

I hope I didn’t come across as condescending though. I am also very disappointed.
Nah, you're right pal. You're giving me a nice bit of PTSD bringing up some of those games.

I just expected Forest to be all guns blazing today, at minimum, so it's hard to put into words how disheartening the performance was.

It's doubly depressing that the club is going to hide behind complaints about the ref and VAR (justified thought they are) rather than acknowledging that in an absolutely vital game we put in an insipid performance.
I feel a fool for being optimistic about this one. It's been obvious for a long time that Nuno doesn't have what it takes to lead a survival battle. We're going to depend completely now on either getting some points back (extremely unlikely) or Luton and Burnley both failing to put a couple of wins together. It's pathetic.
Yep, Everton in horrendous form and just been hammered 6-0 - we turn up with zero fight and all of our bigger “players” fail to perform.

Can anyone put together a video reel of all the penalties we have been denied this season please?

There was a thing on twitter showcasing I think 4 really bad decisions and one probably bad one. Think we've had another 5 since then!

If Carragher thinks it doesn’t matter what club an official supports I hope Liverpool have a known Man United fan reffing their game every week for a decade.

We shouldn’t have to put out a statement like that but we’ve been screwed over almost weekly for a year now and it’s a disgrace.

More of the ‘small teams’ should tell the FA and PL what they think of the blatant bias being shown to certain teams.

The ‘big 6’ have been awarded 43 penalties this season while we’ve been given one. The league is corrupt and it’s blatantly obvious now.
