I never like dropping yates but especially not for this one. Trying to look on the bright side, whilst it makes us even weaker at defending set pieces, we will perhaps concede fewer free kicks in the first place.

Nice to see the Dominguez-Danilo axis in the center of the park. Let's hope Reyna stamps something on this game, and we can keep Calvert Lewin and their two wingers (Harrison and MacNeil) under wraps. After Omo getting schooled not surprising to see Naikhate in. I would expect this is going to be an explosive game, and a red card would not surprise me.

I also went to the last match in Division One May 72, Cormack scored, evening kick off ,very few there. But I do have a slight soft spot for Everton as that night about a 100 of us went in the Gwladys end( which was a stupid thing to do) and when we announced ourselves all hell broke loose. We had no chance we just got penned in and battered, trying to get out was a nightmare until two(dockers)grabbed me and my mate and took us out, watched the second half with them and then they took us back to our car.
Our only defence was that it was our last match in Division One and we were going out in style! It was the 70’s!
Just remember Brian Labone, acting on Joe Mercer's instructions, ending the career of Zigger Zagger .
The only soft spot for everton is a bog in the middle of Ireland.
I can never forgive and forget that.

The only thing I don't like is Reyna but appreciate Elanga might not be ready to start.

Joe Mercer never managed Everton Capn (it was Harry Catterick), though I agree with your sentiment nonetheless.

Probably as good a line-up as we can field considering injuries & fitness.

My only real concern is that Dom+Danilo+Reyna leaves the midfield pretty thin on consistency. We really need Danilo & Dom to be on their game, and not having one of their off-days.

I guess we are gonna play our own attacking game and not get dragged in to a battle. Could be a high scoring game.

Personally I'm happy they've gone for DCL - has a horrible goal scoring record of late, wheras Beto for all his faults puts himself around alot

Our best chance to win is to score in the 97th minute. They kick off and the Ref blows the whistle a minute later.
