We have zero presence in midfield, Yates is limited technically & doesnt make up enough physically to compensate. He's been found out by referees & he's no use in front of goal.

This is a key area of the pitch, so clearly a contributory factor to where we are in the league. He's just not consistent/good enough at this level. He aint on his own though, as per we've f**ked up central midfield, like we do most seasons.

The space in behind MGW & co. yesterday was embarassing. They were queueing up at times, Id argue we need a three in there to compete at this level, certainly away from home.
If only Forest had had a midfielder, who could elude such pressure, perhaps one perfectly capable and confident in possession, maybe from a decent international side like Belgium or something?

You never know!

Dominguez covers far more ground for me and pressures the ball more whilst having far more techinal ability.

Agree.

But Dominguez doesn't cover passing lanes as well, nor does he have the physicality that Yates does or the ability to win free kicks.

If it were me I'd be pairing Dominguez and Yates for most games, and perhaps Danilo for some games where we're likely to see more of the ball and/or favourites to win.

We watched the game on the telly.
Still can’t understand how the best shot converter in the World missed the open goal, and why he didn’t put the Palace-Identikit header away.
Bar Murillo’s own goal, all the rest were goals of quality.
2nd half we were completely outplayed.
Overall, the effort the team put in to whup Fulham seemed to have drained the tank too much.
The lads have a week to refill the energy banks.
3 points v Wolves probably now essential to our survival because the last relegation slot is between us and Luton.
The EPL/Independent Commission is unlikely to dock Everton more than 3 points because Everton are a big club, while Forest are small.
I said Everton point deduction would not be more than 3.
As events unfold it is less than 3!

Went down to Spurs, after 15 mins we started to believe in ourselves, remainder of the first half we played quite well, and should have scored another, but the second half, well I just thought it was inept.

I thought the Maddison / Yates punch thingy deserved a Red by the letter of the law, but Yates was quite childish (gone down in my view as a player). But put it all down to a bit of crappy banter/ trying dark arts.

After seeing the Spurs highlights on MOTD, I now think Maddisson is a total prick.

I hope someone wipes the smile off his face a launches him into row Z.

My thoughts exactly.

He is playing himself out of a possible place in the England squad, Southgate only likes good guys.

This is fine by me.
