Did you know Schrodinger called his cat "Captain".

Or did he?
The 'Schrodinger's cat' experiment is a great example of 'knower' ignorance. The experiment was intended to highlight the absurdity in the assertion, and not vice versa. I used to ask the question at interview to cut the wheat from the chaff.

That's another job I didn't get then.

Why is Sangare the one copping the flack here? He didnt do too badly when he came on, played a good couple of passes. Think he lost the ball poorly once and picked up a daft yellow out of frustration when they were running the clock down but that was all. I hope he starts next game, there were far bigger issues than him out there today
I think its because hes a big money signing as atm in time looks at best a lower prem or dare i say a championship player.I cant remember besides the 2 Brazilians if ive been impressed with any of our signings. The only bit of good news is Williams seems to be getting better at defending and has been our best player 3-4 games on the trot..

We can't do the basics at a consistent level and there is the problem. Whether its the quality of player or just poor attitudes I'm not sure but get just the basics right and we will survive. Theres also teams as bad if not worse than us who are in the same boat so its up to the manager, the staff and the players to have a bloody good look at themselves and buck their ideas up

Now then, now then... people quoting wildly differing statistics (without quoting the source) about the same player and technical abilities is not allowed on this Forum.
Ryan has 100% pass comletion, 0% fouls conceded in 100% tackles won. (Source: Encyclopaedia Britannica).
That's put that one to bed good and proper.

Gave up possession twice, 2 passes out of 39 didn't find a red shirt. Not sure where this idea of him being a liability on the ball comes from really, you can look back over any game he's played this season and find almost identical numbers so i'd love to know where this 16% is coming from

My own point was to illustrate how there are lies, damn lies,... and statistics.
As a Welsh popular music combo once said " We both have truths. Are mine the same as yours".

We arnt quick enough at moving the ball and most need 2-3 touches before the balls actually under control, non of our midfielders can play a first time ball

Unfortunately you can't ask questions of this type in blue chip companies anymore. I helped build one particular business from the ground up and as soon as it required a HR department things changed. They wanted a box ticking exercise, equality of outcome over equal opportunities and they had absolutely no idea what type of people that departments required to be successful and what had made it successful to this point.

HR is full of far left ideology indoctrinated from our universities and is sadly lacking any critical thinking these day. I saw the turning point almost 15 years ago and it was just one of the reasons I decided that I had to set up in business myself and leave blue chip corporate behind.

Looking at the game stats it says Yates had zero fouls? Interesting.

Also, 28 total fouls in the game of which 8 resulted in yellows? That feels like a seriously high percentage resulting in yellow but that's just a feeling.

This is the issue for me, not that our midfielders are the ones coughing up all the possession but rather that they don't move the ball quick enough and we become easy to defend against. Taking more risks in possession by moving the ball quicker will cost us sometimes but I think it's a necessary step forwards, made easier if we can field a solid organized defence ready to step up when needed

I was in the posh seats. A shabby performance and all around us people were less than complimentary about our team. "Championship standard" type of comments. Not a good showing at all, and worrying.
Facilities at Brighton are nice. People not so nice, think they are superior to other football fans. Stadium location is not something I'd like us to entertain, nice enough inside but sterile outside (and that is being polite).

Thank goodness the consensus is Forest are Championship standard there.
I for one was starting to think we weren't even that.

I used to get creative and ask real curveballs. One was 'you look in the mirror and are overcome with the realisation that you're getting fat. What is your immediate response?'

The guy that got the job simply said 'Put my sandwich down'.

Possible red card: Moder challenge on Williams

What happened: Jakub Moder was booked by referee Michael Salisbury in the 67th minute after a strong challenge on Neco Williams. The VAR checked for a possible red card.

VAR decision: No red card.

VAR review: Recently we've seen yellow cards with contact above the ankle rightly not upgraded through VAR, as far as how the game is officiated in England anyway, such as Harry Maguire's tackle on Sasa Lukic and Moisés Caicedo on Ryan Gravenberch in the Carabao Cup final.

In both those cases the offending player was stepping into a challenge. This incident shows when the line is crossed and it's hard to understand how the VAR, Craig Pawson, failed to tell the referee he had made a mistake.

Moder sprints into the challenge, leaves the floor and makes contact with the Nottingham Forest player above the boot with force.

There's absolutely no doubt this is a red card, the sixth of the season not picked up by the VAR.

It's Pawson's only Premier League VAR error of the season, and what's more surprising is that he was on VAR duty for Ben Mee's red card against Aston Villa, which came in similar circumstances. But he was also on duty for the incorrect VAR intervention in the FA Cup, which saw Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin sent off at Crystal Palace.

Nottingham Forest have now had three missed VAR interventions go against them in the past month, the other two being penalties not awarded against Newcastle United and West Ham United.

If you can find footage of Andras Schäfer of Union Berlin‘s dismissal on Friday evening against VfB Stuttgart, you will see it was a very similar offence - studs up, uncontrolled, and had he properly connected, a potential leg-breaker.

However in this case, Robert Schröder, the Referee, correctly issued a straight-red card - a decision that was confirmed by the VAR (Dr. Felix Brych, one of Germany‘s top officials).

If the laws of the game truly should apply internationally, I cannot see why one offence is a Red card, and the other, passed-off as merely a booking.
