I know how it went down is sickening, but everyone had Liverpool down to put 3 or 4 past us with no reply. I think we need to take the performance away from this, we created good chances ourselves that on another day fly in the back of the net.

I'm not letting it spoil my weekend

Sensible post alert - although it gets harder to swallow when it’s every weekend

Guttering....but....I'm over that skank pretty quickly tbh.

If we're gonna get skanked, then I'd sooner it be to top sides than one we're fighting to stay up against.

Everton lost, Palace lost, and Brighton who we play next lost, with Brentford only drawing. We looked pretty good for most of the game, Sels really showed what a difference he makes today, and hopefully a weeks good rest can get Awoniyi back more refreshed for next week.

We're not out of this yet, nowhere near. Luton losing tonight would be lovely mind.
The manner of the defeat is gutting but end of the day we've only lost a point there, without much of a hit to our goal difference

Brighton aren't having the best of times at the moment, no reason we can't go all out for the win there

COYR!!!

Sigh, at least our defenders worked hard & Sels was brilliant on that save.

How can I put it. Yes, we have a track record of not hoofing the ball when we should and that would have been the best answer to the whole predicament. But there's a lot of soft power behind the big clubs that means regional teams aren't the story that many want to see. I guess I'm still smarting from Shearer's undertone of Forest being "them" in the midweek tie. That's my best attempt to be rational right now, normal optimism resumes on Monday...peace and be safe.

I agree with this and I'm quite confident we have got what it takes and I see us improving game by game.
Before the game started we all knew we were up against the ref and Var and against the odds we almost got a point.
We need points but today there are more positives than negatives for me

By far the most solid performance under Nuno, we actually looked like an organized unit for 97 minutes while still creating enough chances to take something. Obviously the result and the manner of it will take the spotlight but I feel more confident after todays game seeing us play with some defensive discipline under Nuno

It was a performance we should quite rightly be pleased with. Defensively sound, threatening on the counter. If we could finish, we'd have won.

But right at the crucial moment we have a brain fart again.

I've said numerous times this season, we're so close to being a solid, competitive PL team but always find a way to f*** it up. It's so disheartening.

I haven't felt so physically ill after a match in ages. PTSD flashbacks of Dias at Norwich during that last corner. Was yelling at them to f*cking boot it. Absolute worst way to lose a match.
The world class save from our keeper just before could easily have been a goal and that would have been hard to take if Sels pushed the ball into the net instead of saving it
