It's amazing ex players and refs don't understand the impact of the territorial change in that moment.

If it doesn't make a difference then refs should simply give us the ball randomly every game as it'll stop us whinging and it doesn't make any difference anyway.

No didn't think so.

Yes I can still see the ball at CHO's feet and remember saying to my son why has he not cleared that then when it went in I was fuming and punched the plexiglass behind my seat and I don't think I've calmed down yet I don't actually blame taiwo as much he was probably shocked he even received that ball there so solid all game just to do that and is just our luck this season the unforced errors points cost must be mad this year
Don't think CHO is passing the ball to Awoniyi though. He's moving the ball into space on his left, in the direction of Awoniyi, who panicked clears it. I reckon CHO just calmly moves with the ball out the box towards the left back position if Awoniyi doesn't thrash at it.

I agree, sadly for Big T he just got in the way. You could tell he was trying hard but he was blowing out his arse after 10 minutes and was so busy breathing he didn't know what year it was, let alone where to position himself sensibly in our defensive shape.

He shouldn't have come on really. I'm amazed he was past fit because he was clearly f**ked from the Wednesday.

You do not blow the whistle at that moment. You are courting controversy. It's not a "trend". It's called being smart. If any ref had done that to us this forum would go into uber meltdown.
OK this interesting again because for me this is referees or you in particular deciding to apply the rules when you see fit and not when they should be. If the time is up then the time is up.
This is really unfair and ignores the reality that part of the role of a referee is to manage the game, not just rigidly apply rules like some mini Hitler (I know...).

In the Real Madrid incident the problem was the ref had told the players the last action of the game was the corner but then didn't blow up when the ball was cleared. That was pointed out to him by the defending team and realising that he blew. Either way it's a massive controversy. What he did was the fairest option, but he wouldn't have needed to do it if he'd not advised he was going to call time after the corner.

Also f*** me there are going to be some receipts brandished if/when City win tomorrow and it's mired in controversy and Klopp asks for the game to be replayed (again).

Exactly right. If CHO had just whacked it first time it would probably have hit Diaz or whoever it was closing him down. Don’t think he’s to blame at all really.

Both their bad imo.

Both had chance to clear, THERE WAS SECONDS LEFT.
CHO is showing composure under pressure. If Taiwo leaves that ball he takes it out the box under little or no pressure and is then looking to start a counter attack.
This isn't to blame Taiwo. He tries to do exactly what they're being criticised for not doing but makes a poor connection.
But to blame CHO seems a bit off when he is doing exactly what you'd expect a top end player to do.

It has nothing to do with me "deciding the rules". I suggest you go ask someone who refs at a good level in England. You obviously don't value my opinion on things to do with refereeing so I will no longer bother offering it.
I can understand why you might feel under attack but you're just being conflated with the general frustration about the decisions going against us, and not just the big ones.

Speaking for myself I really value hearing a different perspective about decisions and how the psychology behind how the rules are applied. I might not agree with everything you say but appreciate the fact you'll debate it.

Hopefully you won't let the general frustration on here stop you posting. We're all Foret fans at the end of the day and all want the best for the team.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

Would have liked that guaranteed point if thud a purrit in row Z. Don't fuk about in yur penalty area 9 minutes into injury time when a point is so precious.

Cloughie wudda cancelled both their contracts for gross negligence 🤣

I’ve watched a birra football in me time and I can’t remember conceding many from the car park behind the Peter Taylor stand, once in a while just putting ya foot through the bugger is the way, we’ve fell into the “Pep” trap of pissing about wi it when at times we don’t have the pissing about ability.

Seen Pauline this morning, she’s selling deep fat fryers out of the back of her Vauxhall Opel, £25 notes, I reserved one for ya Ray, she’s dropping it into the pub for ya later 👍
