As much as I'd like to be dignified, considering what he had done to this club, I'm going to maintain a level of not giving a f***!

Doughty was a big loss to his family more so than Marthur and lest be honest, we are all in the same or similar position one way or t'other, yet I am sure he wouldn't share the same dignity!

Tell me what good he done to the club to deserve at least some recognition?

(Although in fairness to him, he did try to create more profit for our Club by charging fans a premium rate to call the ticket office; he introduced a commission charge if fans wanted to use their credit card to renew their season ticket; he promised season tickets would remain the same price if we renewed before relegation to League One...and then suckered us by raising them in our 2nd season in League One, driving more profits into the Club coffers! Actually, he was quite a clever CEO after all!)

I like how Arthur takes his time to list his achievements before slipping-off into the shadows, something he would have struggled to realistically do here.

I'm certainly no apologist for the bloke, but what immediately followed after he became one of the first casualties of Billy Davies' vendetta hardly improved matters. I'd argue that his corrupt replacement, Cousin Jim, left considerably more debris behind him - persuading Fawaz that FFP was essentially bollocks being the most damaging.

Had Davies not wreaked his 'revenge', and Arthur remained, it's a moot point as to whether he wouldn't have been simply sidelined by al-Hasawi, as was the case during Paul Faulkner's brief tenure in the role.

Marthur systematically destroyed the club from being a Prem club to a League 1 one. You're having a laugh Oats. Whatever damage Price did it was nothing compared to Marthur.

We'd be in League 2 now if the Fazza + Marthur combo continued.

The only redeeming feature if the Billy mk2 and Price debacle was how short it was.

I reckon they would have done worse to the club than Marthur did.
