As time goes by, I think i'd be really happy with him as an addition, I just think stylistically, he makes the transition from Grabban smoother. There are going to be 13 midweek games this season. Grabban will not handle all that. So to have someone who can play in a similar way to him would be brilliant.

I don't really want us to sign him. He's just coming off a knee injury, is soon to turn 30 and relies on movement and a turn of pace.

Stylistically, he could be a good option for something different. But not fond on us being his cash cow to milk for his last decent contract.

I also think he has stupid hair. That bothers me more than his opinions, weirdly.

Consider that a divorce!

Yep, happy to wear that.

I had a discussion with someone on twitter over a year ago now who suggested him after his Lge 1 season, and I said 'absolutely not'.

I was also very much against his decision to not play in his final contracted two games for Charlton and it put me off him too.

Just over time, he's won me round and I think he'd be a good signing, particularly on a free.

Same here. Not happy about what he did to Charlton, but he's clearly a very capable striker at this level and would be a very good signing on a free.

Nixon reckons it is a bad sign that it was leaked to Sky Sports now. Probably means we were far apart on wage.

Don't necessarily agree.

I think his agent is just going to be working overtime to play everyone off against each other.

It will be down to his desire to earn against playing. I bet he can pick up a wedge and be a back-up somewhere. Or he can earn decent money on a 3yr deal or so, and get a lot more opportunities to still play.

Grabban has shown the way with being able to still produce the good into his 30s at this level, as a lone striker with intelligent play, a 3yr deal wouldn't put me off him.

I agree mate. Simple as that.

It also shows we getting a bit frustrated and trying elsewhere in our bid for Kieffer Moore.

Any others around ? I see QPR are trying to get Hugill back on loan from West Ham.

I wonder if we want 2?

Cos it's a huge change from Taylor to Moore?

That, or maybe there is something in the Grabban to Qatar rumours?

We want Taylor to replace him and another to give us a different dimension? From a lot of the strikers we've been linked to from Jan to now, Sabri seems to want a real physical presence.

He seems a good fit -but gonna be a heck of lot of competition for him. It’s a good point re: amount of mid week matches we’ll have to play so depth in squad is going to be vital. Yes there are maybe flaws with him- age, injuries, attitude but we wouldn’t be in the market for him, if he was in his prime - he’ll be prem material

Can't rule it out but I would be surprised if we looked for both Moore and Taylor.

At Rennes Sabri had Khazri as CF didn't he ? Still think Taylor is the variation or partner.

I don't think Grabban & Walker are good sub CFs. They both like to grow into the game. Whilst both aren't poor aerially you aren't necessarily dominant if you get in quick crosses or direct balls into them. Plus both aren't quick channel runners.

The main reason I think we have a shot, is that Neil Ardley and Lee Bowyer both said the same thing about him. He needs to be loved.

He seems like to someone who wants to be wanted and valued. I feel like Sabri is the guy to give him that. I suspect he would earn more money elsewhere, but maybe Sabri can convince the guy he'll get what he needs here? I guess we can only speculate until it's decided.

I always thought Kiefer Moore was a bit of a donkey. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.

Kiefer Moore has signed for Cardiff.

Heard a rumour today that Grabban has taken his kids out of nursery as they look to relocating to London.

Taylor will be an adequate signing and if Grabban stays we need a big man to complete the trio.
