Living in the past

I wouldn't say it's really living in the past... Notts County however, oldest league team as their main claim to fame what could be living further in the past than that?

A Birmingham fan today denied allegations that they were living in the past. The die-hard supporter, was clearly overcome with emotion however and struggled to get their words out. They had earlier been told that Microsoft had stopped selling Windows 3.x licences.

To be perfectly honest even if the departure of BC had been smooth and we had retained Premiership status ever since I doubt we would have been any better off than Villa, Everton or Spuds. I also doubt we would have won anything other than say another League Cup since the arrival at Chelski of Abramovich in 2003 and hijacking of our beautiful game by his gangsters and ManUre's.
Living in the past is the normal way of football life these days.
30 years ago at the start of every new season it was possible for at least 10 clubs to win the League and at least 44 to win either the FA or League Cups. Those days are gone!

We should always embrace our past, but we should be constantly looking towards the future. ;D

That website is slightly odd though

I remember the game well. It was the first of 'legendary' Scottish international goalkeeper Willie Fraser's two appearances for Forest. He let in five in the next away match at Preston and was never seen again.

I get accused of this.

Remember this reply.

'The reason I live in the past is because we 'fing have one'.

Living in the Past equates to having a real interest in history, which I have and I am not ashamed of. I'd like to become Ken Smales one day. Our past contains several glories, some of which I was lucky enough to experience.

Unfortunately , too many of our fans tends to use our past to bash our present.

"Oh , we should beat this team , that team easily because we are nottingham forest"

"We should be in the premiership" etc etc
