Amusing name aside, he's Huddersfield's local reporter who broke the news of the deals collapsing in the first place.Says Steven Chicken.... I could give a cluck...
Fingers crossed he's right and we get this done!

It's true. Here's a recent picture of them in training:It is a bit odd as there's all this talk of the two of them being inseparable and best buds...
Problem with that is EPL experience comes with big wages. And I think the club would like to avoid having a player on ridiculous wages if we go back down again. What does everything think of
1: O'Brien & Yates
2: O'Brien & Garner
3: Yates & Garner
as our midfield for the season?
We don't even have Garner (yet?) and this still looks too weak for me.
I'd really like an EPL midfielder in there, with quality and experience. Even if its someone outside our normal age range, maybe an older player who we can get for good value.
That wasn't the reaction I was expecting.Apologies if my non-reaction to the over-reaction of a perceived over-reaction came across as an under-reaction.
f*** it's hot today.
I'm just worried that we don't have players who can reliably pick out an unexpected/high quality pass. Maybe its not a priority for Cooper because we play on the transition, so O'Brien's ball carrying skills are more important, I dunno, but having the option there to take control of a game would be ideal if it were me deciding these things.Problem with that is EPL experience comes with big wages. Edit: if it's a loan I wouldn't be opposed though.
Know what you mean. Think Gibbs white would be like that for us, but I Don't know if we are ready to pay the asking price for him. Players with that quality I feel are extremely hard to come by nowadays. I think we are just focusing on some players who work hard to get the ball l, and carry it up the pitch.I'm just worried that we don't have players who can reliably pick out an unexpected/high quality pass. Maybe Niakhate can, I've heard he's got decent passing, but I feel like we're missing that player who can create something from nothing, or dominate a game and control the tempo, like Andy Reid in his second spell here.

I think those would be enough, but for me we could need a complete holding player as well - not a player to play every game but to come on or play in the games where we need to pack the midfield. What does everything think of

Well said, that man.Lots of people expressing concern at the state of the squad, all you have to do is think back to 7 games into last season, then think ”fook me we’re in the prem” and all problems seem a tad smaller!
whatever happens this season will be better than the last 23! The back of house staff seem to have a handle on it and I’m confident in their ability to get us through the season. However we come out of it the other side we will be in a damn site better place than we were a year ago!
enjoy it and have an ice lolly!
I'd absolutely LOVE to see Winks playing for us.Said it before but I think Harry Winks is a fantastic player. Wasn't so long ago he was instrumental in running the midfield in games at the Nou Camp for Spurs and against the Spanish national team for England.

Thank god were not in L1 anymoreI remember the good old days when preseason, Forest only had one defender (and that was Brendan Molomey, I think?)
This is childs play, in comparison.
There is a line which says Forest were 'struggling to meet' Toffolo's wage demands. I'd replace with unwilling to meet!
O'Brian "We might be best mates but if you f*** up my Premier League dream I will f*** you up and then f*** you up again while you're knocked out"
