We do need another goal scorer, is it 14 out of the last 17 scored by Lolley and Grabban? Preferably that'd be from the wing and that'd be the 'big' Jan signing.

Think it's a good post overall, but this part in particular is spot on.

We're doing well, but we're so reliant on Grabban & Lolley for goals at the mo a knock to either could really de-rail things.

Even if the goal-scorer is a winger or someone who can play when Carva's having one of his off-games, another goalscorer really would set us up nicely.

13 goals so far, and it’s still November.

Boy is ON FIRE.

Said it in another thread and I'll say it again; an absolute bargain at £6m. Best striker we've had in a long time.

You can see the confidence flowing through him right now.

Swagger. Strength. Touch. Power. Hard working. Positioning. Hold up play. Clever runs. Instinctive finishing.

When that ball went in for his first goal, I just knew he'd score. I celebrated when the cross went in. He emanates positivity from the front line.

Robert Earnshaw's best goal return for us in a season was 17, Britt Assombalonga's best season at this level mustered 15 goals.

I wouldn't put it past Grabban to have beaten both of those totals before the New Year.

I nearly said something similar the other day but didn't because I didn't want to jinx him. So that's enough of what he might do by the new year!!!

Edit: Incidentally in a completely non-related way I also checked who the last striker was to hit at least 15 before Xmas Day was the other day... it was Dwight Gayle for Newcastle.

His finish for the 5th goal was worth £6m on its own. What a striker.

I was listening to The Verve earlier and thought the chorus of "Well, I'm a lucky man. With fire in my hands." could be very well adapted for a Lewis Grabban chant.
"Lewissss Graaaabaaaaan.. the forest in his handdddssss."

Think if any player deserves a chant, it's him right now.

What I’ve enjoyed about watching Lewis so far is that he seems to be the perfect forward for the way Aitor Karanka wants to play.

His movement off the ball is excellent, and he’s often dragging one or both Centre Halves out of the way to make space for Midfield runners.

And he always seems to be in the right place, at the right time. That’s instinct, and you cannot teach that.

What a great signing he’s turning out to be. Gets on with his job and from what I see doesn’t get involved in any crap with referees

Is sharp now , Don't underestimate the part lolly and Carvalho are playing in his form , Mind he has to put them away , The triangle of Forest must never be broken.

The two finishes last night were clinical.

This is one of the big reasons I've been looking forward to seeing Soudani play off him on that wing. Think it could be deadly with Soudani making those inside runs once Grabban pulls the CB out.

Lots of folk digging their keeper out for our fifth. Think Grabban threading that finish through the defenders legs caught him out. Top work.

Generally listening to Sky & Talksport post match, far too much focus on Villas achievements in the game. Obviously biased, but surely we should be getting more plaudits from the game. It only matters to me because we've had such shit reviews for the last 10 years.

A player scoring 4 is always going to be the headline, but yeah, all our goals were top drawer and we are becoming the masters of the counterattack.
