A loan would suit us i think.

I can see the logic of a loan and play him as back up. Although I’m sure he wouldn’t want that.
I really hope we make such a vital position a permanent signing. Not someone who will just scoot back to his parent club at the end of his loan spell. Unless it’s a real stunner of a player.

Wales Online continue to believe that you continue to try to get him on loan.

I can't help but feel that this guy would be the icing on the cake for us. Gone very quiet but imagine having this little genius on the bench each match to come on and score us the odd match-winning goal when the chips are down. I really hope he arrives soon !Anyone heard owt ??

I like him but not sure where he fits in. We have 2 for every role.

If Karanka wanted him back he would have come back by now too.

He’d go from being a bench warmer (at best) at Cardiff to doing the exact same thing here. It’d be a bad move for the player if nothing else, he needs to be a focal point for a team. I wish him luck wherever he goes but Forest would be a bad move for all parties now I reckon.

Reminds me a little bit of that f***er who played for Swansea. Lee Trundle. How good could he have been if he'd been a proper fit footballer? Wasted talent the pair of em

Prior to the transfer window I'd have said he should be a definite target, but I don't think his game lends itself to the players we've subsequently signed

Show the quality already assembled when shoe-ins last season aren't even considered now.

A luxury we don't need.

He might have some value as an impact sub, but we've already got plenty of them

I think you're being over - Lee critical there, he might not be an athlete but he did a good job us last season, perhaps give him some Lee - way?

With players like Tomlin you have to balance the quality games with those in which he disappears.

Quite pleased we're not going to bother.

I'm still not convinced that there won't be occasions during such a long, demanding season where his type guile would be missed.

Wouldn't be averse to him coming as long as the wages are low

If he's not gone anywhere on a permanent basis once August 9th has been and gone, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come here on loan before August 31st. Karanka likes him, and could still be useful to have around.
