Probably.

He did look in a lot of pain and played on with a muscle injury (which will make it worse) because we had already used our 3 subs windows.

I suppose putting Worrall in goal and going down to 10 probably wasn't considered a worthwhile gamble.
I think I could’ve gone in goal and Leicester still wouldn’t have had a shot to be fair.

That french is crap though. Just random words with the help of a bit of google translate, which usually produces drivel.

Yeah, but when it’s spoken by Big Evangelos, the French understand.

still down to PSG on wage share , looks as though we are only willing to pay a certain amount for him.

He wants the move so I think this might get pushed through, would be a major coup

Likely to happen - Hes won the champions league, unreal signing, Henderson wont get back in, Henderson is out for months.

Goes off the boil - Didnt need him anyway, Henderson is back in 2 weeks, it would have upset Henderson.

Back on - GET IN! Hes the best keeper in the world, Whos dean Henderson?

Not really sure about this one, to be honest.

He's obviously a top player, but, unless Henderson is out for the season, I feel like this could be a potentially disruptive signing. I wouldn't be keen on Hendo sitting on the bench from mid-Feb onwards.

If Hendo is sitting on the bench then it'll mean we would have found a better keeper than him & it's Forest that'll benefit, surely?

Probably, yeah. Henderson appears to be a popular character in the dressing room though, and I'd worry about the impact benching him for the rest of the season would have. His parent club wouldn't be too pleased about it either, which could impact our future loan opportunities, and I was hopeful we'd sign Henderson permanently next season.

We should terminate his loan if we're bringing someone better in, surely?

It's a joke Captain.

Joking aside though £350k a week would be £18m a year - anybody in the Prem could afford that and comply with FFP. It's about whether you would rather spend it elsewhere though.

A bottom end premier league club could generally spend £100m per year on wages and around £60m in transfers without even coming close to ffp, such is the money in the top tier.

Add in champions league football and you can comfortably go to £200m and £100m in transfers.

For a squad of 25, that would give an average wage of £150k per year.

Then you come to the Uber clubs, like PSG, who have been bankrolled to such a point they are global phenomenons.

£350k per week for your top 10 earners wouldn’t put you upside down.

Then you have Man City. They’re paying Haaland the best part of £1m per week.

We dunno how long he's truly out for. And I doubt he's that unprofessional.

Plus it still leaves the door open for him in the summer regardless of whether he spends the last month or so on the bench. Cooper is the master of keeping a dressing room happy, I would leave it to him.

Stuff his parent club, would probably work in our favour if they wanna sell him anyway.

I was thinking the same but with half the season left we can’t afford to put all our eggs in a Henderson shaped basket. Too much of a gamble.

As good as signing Navas in isolation would be for any team in our position, at a second glance, I'm not sure about this one.

Assuming Navas is a loan until the end of the season, like Henderson. That's two first team quality keepers. I'd assume we're paying all of Henderson's wages and depending on the split, will pay still a sizeable chuck of Navas'. If Henderson is really back in a couple weeks, what actually is the point? Navas will be off in the summer and Henderson's future is no less uncertain, even if we stay up given there is no buy option.

I highly doubt Navas wants to come here for first team football and then be competing with Henderson for the keeper's shirt when Hendo is fit. I doubt Hendo is going to be very happy when he comes back from injury and he's on the bench as well.

You also have Hennessey who to be fair to him, when he's played bar Blackpool, hasn't had much help from the defence. He's Wales' #1 so he'll probably be irked not to even make a matchday squad.

The only way any of this actually makes sense is if Henderson is out till late March/Early April at the earliest.

I disagree,PJ-we need to cover the crucial position of goalkeeper with 2 top class players.
I for one am not convinced that Hennessey is quite up to task-Navas and Henderson between them should
ensure the defence has faith in the man behind them for the rest of the season.

SSN said it's definitely back on but we can't get a medical done in time because of where Navas is and time constraints so it will be done on trust

If it's only a five month loan I'm happy enough with this

Is no more risky than giving Shelvy a 2.5 year contract when he's already injured
